Thanks for the complement on the realism of the wound. We actually used SKEDCO's FEBSS simulation system for the training video along with special effects makeup.
@sammedical It's quite convincing, I wasn't sure if this was an actual wound or not. I assumed there must be a trick to it as the video proceeds at a leisurely pace, but it's very realistic. The capability of the gauze to transform to a gelatin is also very fascinating, as well as looking rather soothing.

even though it was done on a simulated wound and with special effects make up I still cringed at the part where the gauze was packed into the wound.
excellent product you have here.

is this ok to use in a chest wound that my have popped a lung?
zapzapboom 5 months ago
@zapzapboom If your referring to e pnuemotorax then no you need a different kind of treatment for that.
you must stop the airflow in and out of the chest cavity first.

This is so realistic! I think this is a wonderful way to train soldiers than using live animals. :)

No, its not a real human leg, its a pig leg covered with camo pants. The military did the same thing when the tested QUICKCLOT.

This stuff is supposedly replacing HEMCON and QUIKCLOT for The Aritish Army

That's why I verbally abuse anti-soldier people. Like their job or not; you should still respect them for being tough as nails. Nice demo.
