  • how to you do it without hurting your nuts, i wrestle with my friends alot and have no former training and everyone thinks this move is the best, but whenever i try in, i catch an elbow to the nuts. Any suggestions?

  • @TheMrlongboard4life bend it over your thigh more, rather than your crotch

  • @beric89 lol just lol

  • 0:48 Or just shit over his head

  • Maybe he just wears a white belt so people will underestimate him?

  • @erkkkkkkkk

Or his belt is just so faded that it looks pale, which is saying something.

  • He teaches the technique pretty well for a white belt.

  • (RAMA) Respect All Martial Arts

  • have you noticed that this guy is a white belt?

  • this move works very good

  • wow you guys managed to ruin all of your videos by putting the captions across them...

  • this is fail....you have no idea how easy it is to escape that. fail technique.

  • @xxtehfavnoobxx the technique as he executes it, yes... but done properly... staying tighter, sliding the knee up under the shoulder, and using your stomach to trap the arm, then bringing the leg over the head... (instead of completely telegraphing what he's going for and leaving wide open spaces all over the place for escape)... this technique done properly is VERY effective, and extremely difficult to escape from.

  • Wow he thinks that old school boxing shit is something to bjj.i just now started and ill beat his ass,do a judo throw and pound you or submit you.you better respect all arts because they have something to offer.boxing is all stand up, you should have seen randy couture vs james toney EPIC!

  • nice lol

  • martial arts is all about respecting yourself and others.

  • Holy shit all you guys who think your tough about lieing about having black belts in a martial art dont realy have much of a life, considering you are trying to impress a person who your probably never gonna meet in real life. Its actually halarious reading these comments, Like holy shit get out of your fucking basements and actually take up the art instead of pretending you have mastered it. lets see how tough any of you guys are without your keyboards on your lap.

  • the worst thing 2 do is to tell someone u know martial arts at the very least they'll challenge u and get their ass kicked anyway but at the very worst they'll tell u martial arts this punk and gun you down in the street. nowadays people don't fight they kill so be careful

Also true martial artist don't go around telling people they can kick your ass, the ones who actually study the techniques AND live the lifestyle are quite peaceful until threatened they can actually be the nicest of people

  • @patterso3 yeh man u do give people bj's

and i actually do mma im 25 i could pwn ur ass

  • @CurranUnit owned motherfucker =3

  • This is kinda gay!!! al the time grabing and touching the penis

  • @sarachamas ya i guess its gay if all you can think about are dicks... its only gay if you make it gay. obviously someone is thinking about cock lol

  • You gotta love some of the comments made by our "YouTube Warrior" friends. You can't listen if you're always talking. Can't listen; can't learn. It's actually quite sad.

  • look bjj is the best technique in the world ur tellin me that wat royce gracie did in the mma some random 7th degree judo can do bull shit!!!! i do have respect for judo its good just not as nearly as good as bjj

  • theBucketofTruth your so hardcore!!!btw your girlfriends a whore...=)

  • Sounds like "theBucketofTruth" wouldn't know what to do in a fight. I've got news for you, this style does work, period. I practice Jiu Jitsu and my friend is a professional MMA fighter, who I spar with. When we box and go the ground after a shoot, nothing else will save you unless you can knock the guy out from the bottom or the top, asap. Most fights that end up on the ground are between drunk people and applying Jiu Jitsu to a drunk person, game over.

  • truth ur an idiot and i challege u since i have a black belt in bjj ill prove just how this shit is

  • Ohh internet tough guyyy

  • @3r1c151 KEYBOARD WARRIOR lol

  • This is rubbish fighting. A wood chopper, Trucker, a MAN could crush this form of fighting with common sense.

If someone considers a "ground game, lying on their back" then they're wasting their time doing this prostitute practice. It's like losing a fight yet not wanting to admit it and calling it a "ground game"

This shit is fake and does not work in the real world. I make an open challenge to ANYONE who wants to put me to the test. If you are a fly weight don't bother replying to me.

  • dude ur a fucking dumbass this works in real life i got in a bar fight with this guy he tackled me i put in him the guard and swept him wtih the simple sweep then started nailing him while i was on mount ur a fucking dumbass if u really believe what u are saying cops take BJJ, you need to do a little homework before u starting saying stupid shit like that...i hope that one of these days u get in a fight with an unitimdating bjj fighter and he snaps ur arm!!!!!

  • You're an alcoholic. I'm not.

    I win, you lose.

  • @theBucketofTruth ummm noo i dont drink im 16 i was just in a bar playing pool with my parents and cousins when a guy tried to pick a fight with my dad so yea ur a dumb shit

  • @theBucketofTruth against any striker the BJJ fighter would not be on there back, have you ever heard of the gracies? Dumbass.

  • BJJ has the obivious weakness of being bitten. Boxing does not. Unless you want to try and bite my fists and mmarantha and darkgia01 sound stupid enough to try that.

Frank Mir is a BBJ Black Belt, and he sucks dick.

BJJ in this day and age is a worthless style. Get with the times you dickheads.

  • No matter what your disposition is on BJJ you should realize that people dedicate lots of time in learning this grappling art and some even make a living off it (MMA fighters) so you should show a little more respect in that regard. btw BJJ has been proven to be effective on the street and I bet if you fought even a white belt you will be in a world of pain.

  • I don't practice BJJ I practice Judo I'm just defending my grappling cousins.

  • Judo is strong. don't think for a second jui jitsu could defeat judo, you idiot.

  • wtf are you getting at. I said I DIDN'T practice BJJ and there are many instances where BJJ guys have submitted Judoka in competitions.

  • not ones better than another..... it's the fighter, take the best out of each one...

  • mmajunkie I get your point. Both are good. I respect both, I am a fighter/boxing, sometimes I think the straight right stops all, but I am smart enough to know if you dont hit him hard and fast and its going to end up on the ground??? run... lol. Real fighters respect all.

  • @mmajunkie1000 i agree with you 100% i was at a party and a bigger guy got into it with me and took me down i just triangle choked him and that was that people def need to show more respect to bjj

  • @mmajunkie1000 Well said.

  • @mmajunkie1000

there are some really awesome white belts out there

  • armbars r cool

  • Wrist control is essential in most every move for most any arm lock, loose it and suffer the consequences...gain it,....you will be rewarded. Palm up is a basic technique to always remember.

  • the ideal way to do an armbar from mount is to put ur hand in their collar and anticipate the rolling sweep. when they roll u wanna come up into a technical mount. it makes it ten times easier and when u get it u wanna pinch ur knees together so u dont have to us as much pressure

  • I really need to work on my mounted position. It's probably my weakest area, and as far as strengths go, I would destroy anyone in guard. If I get someone in my guard...it's all over. Good video by the way

  • lmao... i'm guessing by 'anyone' you mean 'anyone with less than a month's experience'?

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • Amen brother. Let us all laugh at this silly garbage fighting.

  • very good simple video for beginners just as the video states. However I would have preffered to see an armlock that uses the gi more to trap the arm. The position he is showing can obviously be used in gi/no gi but does create alot of space. The mechanics of the position are well shown though.

  • good technique but i dont pop straight up to my feet anyone that knows what they are doing would rverse i take my knee to the side of the head and my other leg around their shoulder

  • tery biting me in a rear naked choke and if i had an arm bar on you you would lose your arm and id lose a peice of flesh ill take a bite over a broken arm contusion anyday plus i dont hit prostitutes they are still girls shes prolly yellin at you cuz you owe her money

  • you don't have a clue and judging from where you're from, that's no surprise

  • judging where im from??? im from riverside california, and i train mma and trust me if i hit you in the face your going to fall down and im not going to wait for you to get back up, even if you could id be mounted on you hooks in postured up then lets see you even try to hit me

  • you would need a step ladder just to reach my knees you 5ft tall french sewer rat

and the only thing you train at, is getting punched in the face, BY ME

    owned

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • If youre good at striking, you can keep the distance from closing enough to go on the floor.

  • but you better be in an open field with no objects aroud you and have 1 hit ko power

  • I see your point. good point. A little exaggeration though. Watch some wushu videos and you'll see what I mean. Or better yet, consider bruce lee. Its all in the heart of the individual along with skill. Im just saying it could go either way

  • no, you just don't give it any credit. be concerned about being bitten if you want. BJJ is an art that requires discipline. You say you can slam someone on their head, but what are you gonna do when you get a choke locked in on your ass?

  • you should fart in his face as the knockout

  • then go ahead and take it to the floor. even if you take guard and your opponent is inexperienced you'll eventually mount him and kick his ass

  • try throwing someone who has 30 lbs on you

  • i have before and sure i still could. although i do prefer to pick on smaller people lol

  • bjj is very good. i have been doing hapkido for 7 months, and from 2 lessons of BJJ i am pretty confident that i could destroy the red belts in my hapkido class from the locks and chokes ive learnt.

very hard to counter if you don't know how to fight on the ground. also i like how u roll against a live opponent, whereas most martial arts ur kicking the air or defending against goofy attacks like inside wrist grabs

  • to

timmafee0: i think you could destroy a black belt from theese small amount of lessons of BJJ if you are a good learner! Sorry for my bad English

  • I agree, who by nature is going to grab your wrist cross ways as an attack? And why the hell would you let them reach in that far with out moving your hand, or crushing their adams apple.

  • go and search here for jiu jitsu vs kung fu or jiu jitsu vs taekwon do or gracie documentary and u will c.

  • the whole instructional manual of the army and seals of usa its based on brazilian jiu jitsu so beliveme it works... in my school theres a tons of guys that came to challenges us because they doesnt belive... boxers, kickboxers, kung fu fighters, wrestlers and nothing works... all the martial arts ends when u hit to the floor... for jiu jitsu is just the begining.

  • ends on the floor? i would kick you in the head if you didn't stand up. your ju jitsu is for faggots who don't know how to actually fight

  • ju jitsu

  • This particular armbar wouldn't work on the street. Too many ways to get out of this situatio plus no one is going to just lie there motionless

  • ive been thinkin of practicing BJJ is it effective cuz some ppl say it is others say its not...

  • seams easy, i started watching bjj from the ufc. its the best style there is.

  • Yeah, believe me man, BJJ is not an easy form...takes lots of practice to nail it. But you are right, it's such an effective style, it's what i do

  • his elbow should be as high up your torso as possible. namely, your midsection. the higher it goes, the more leverage you have to bend and break his arm. you should tuck yourself real close to your opponent to do it as you sit down.

  • haha says it so nonchalantly haha..."breaks his elbow" :-)

  • actually its not particularity on the crotch u can move it away from there but the general area where arm ahs to be is in bewteeen the legs, so when u move your hips slightly up, its forces his arm out of the socket and he then taps out.

  • What about his elbow on the thigh to break the elbow. That's what I was taught

  • Sorry if this sounds retarded but, where exactly do you put your opponent's elbow? I mean, if you do it on the crotch it's gonna hurt you more than it will hurt him

  • pinching your knees together as tightly as possible makes the pressure on the inside of your thigh. compare the pressure difference with pinched knees on arm locks and knee locks

  • Ok thanks!

  • Actually...I learned to move his arm to the side on my thigh, with his elbow there, to break the elbow. Two different ways to do it.

  • if you put it on your crotch any mixed martial artist wheres a cup you learn that very quick lol

  • I agree you have to train live. Very physical you have to learn how to move your own body. You have to develop muscles you dont usualy use in regular everyday life. You learn alot rolling and losing as well as wining.

  • Man I'm experiencing the losing part right now. Just started I think I'm on my 6th or 7th session, however I'm learning mostly escapes, reversals, etc. Brazilian Jiu-jitsu basics. I only win if my sparring partner wanted to lose HAHAHA but it's fine.

  • I don't wanna hang out the Rickson Gracie but when you grab his arm and you fall back to the side, then you have to stay lower then he do because as you stay high like that he simply can roll away. Most of his basic techniques i really like, but this one i don't,such as that pushing on his chest... :( ,maybe it is good to mislead him or something for the submission but... .When does he's gonna show 'advanced' techniques????Gr,

  • is he a white belt? why is he showing the move?

  • I think thats a neutral belt.

  • well i am talking about real life... in real life they punch they dont push like girls usually do the most

  • what they are doing is a beginner arm bar, it's a good way to learn the mechanics of doing it. the push is so your opponent can learn how to do the arm bar. there are a lot of scenarios including punches that will open up the opportunity to arm bar someone. watch fedor arm bar his oponents, he's great at it

  • You mean the one that he did at Coleman

  • that's one of them, i think he's won several fights by arm bar.

  • lol there is NO chanse that ur opponent will try and push u they punch u know...

  • punching from inside his mount wont do shit

and plus there talking about jiu jitsu...where u cant punch

  • nice but I do mine a diffrent way.

  • this technique is described neatly in the renzo gracie jiu jitsu series.

  • could you please direct me to the link please?Id like to learn if there is an easier way?Im still a beginner, thnx :D

  • go to a dojo

  • Uhh...Easier way? I don't think it gets much easier than this. BJJ is a pretty straight forward martial art. This is probably one of the easiest ways. And yes as e21pl says: "go to a dojo". You can't learn martial arts in front of a computer. These videos are only to get some basic idea or if you didn't understand a training to help out a bit.

  • leaving to much space

  • brilliant

  • egh its ok i guess

  • this is good for people like me who are completey newb to this stuff

  • i think he created the space for the purpose of the video so we can see what hes doing

although i would post the knee

  • creating too much space on the armbar there. very easy to escape on the swivel around.

  • or to rip out of the hold and elbow him in the nuts

  • nice
