  • How can you make an object follow a path?

  • Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

You go to the layer tools, and find the one with the layer, with a 4 way arrow. Its called Translate Layer. You can also select it by pressing 1 on your keyboard.

Now, when you move the object, you can see the path it has taken. Remember though, you are moving the whole layer when you are doing this, so anything you don't want to follow the path needs to be on another layer.

  • Can it be smoother cause i want a nice arc shape and right now its quite rough

  • One more Q

How do you make rounded edged lines with the add points tool?

  • The default is rounded edges. If you are getting any other, then it probably means you are double clicking, and making two points in the same place. Use the translate points tool to check this isn't the case.

If you indeed only have one point at each bit, then it means they are sharpened. You can fix this with the curvature tool, to make the line less or more rounded.

  • Didnt work.

The line is not enclosed/welded or watever the word is its just a 2 point line but i want the tips to be caps instead of squares.

  • never mind, i found out. but now when i click the export animation. no matter what i do... the "ok" button is never able to be clicked.

  • What tool do i use to move the points? xD I've been trying to figure it out forever!

  • Translate points. Or "T" for shortcut.

  • what does the button on the tools list look like? xD (lol sorry I'm a newbie)

  • like a cross with arrows on each line if u hit t it will highlight it or select it in the tools

  • whoops! just found the bones one :)

    ta very much

  • watched all your tuts. Very well done. Gonna do any for how to use bones. I get the idea, but know it will be a headache to start with.

  • i dident understand enything bcus of your accent.

  • i didn't understand your comment cause of your bad spelling .

  • is this free or do you haft to pay for it ???

  • They say the best things in life are free...But I haven't found a better version of Anime Studio that IS free, so I guess THEY were wrong.

You do have to pay for it, and the only thing I have ever seen similar to it is synfig, which is free, but I can't use it because it constantly freezes on my computer.

  • it would be to good to be true if it was free...

  • How do u make characters blink

  • Well i got it for free. I think its illegal though . Just go on youtube and write how to get anime studio pro lol. But i Have anime studio pro 6. Does that follow up with your tutorials.

  • Yeah, not a good idea to spread those kind of things round, someone will catch up with you eventually.

  • lol thx for tips lol but i like taking stupid risks in life. and besides im 11 years old.!!

  • Hmm...But there is not much point taking a risk if you have nothing to gain from it. Its like, throwing a knife in the air and trying to catch it.

    The gain. Nothing.

    The loss. Your hand.

  • ya hafta pay. 2 bad it is not free...

  • what about if you have just anime studio

  • o and sorry umm my time line did not have 2 points at each number it only had 1 im just wondrering why

  • The top point tells you that there is some data stored at that specific frame, on this layer.

The second dot will tell you that there is some data stored at that specific frame, for the points that you have selected.

So if you have no points selected, there should only be one layer of dots.

If you have all layers selected, there should be two layers of dots.

If you have some points selected, there may be a mixture of 1 dots and 2 dots.

    Is that clear enough?

  • just a question great tutorial btw but how do u do the onion skinning u were talking about at around 4:38

  • To make an onion skin, you click in-between the lines on the timeline, and the numbers on the timeline (just underneath 6 12 18 24 etc).

A little purple box should appear then.
