@umacarrot Well I'd rather not waste his time if you're another one of those left wing kool-aid drinkers. So since you like facts soo much, then we'll discuss them. Ever since America was first established and colonized, we've always had a capitalist economic system, no? There were no issues back then because everyone was independent and the dependent were taken care of by their family. So why is it that after 1990, the economy started dwindling by our own government?
@gamefreak1000000 LOL I only drink kool-aid I mix my self. I have no problem with capitalism as long as it is fair, I'm an entrepreneur myself. There were no issues back then, as long as you were a white male slave owner and not a widowed woman with children it's easy to be successful when your employes work for free.Take a look at the debt to GDP ratio for the US it started to sky rocket around 1980 when Regan became president he lowered taxes on big business .
@umacarrot It's because we started moving away from capitalism and moved closer to socialism. Everyone wanted things for free. After all of our great achievements, we started neglecting the system even more. Now, I won't get into the new world order topic since that will get us off topic. However, it started dwindling after a certain individual (Marxist billionaire) came into this country after manipulating the bank of England.
Don't you think this sudden socialist shift is destroying us?
Would say probably most about ethics such as abortions and such. This some what goes hand in hand with a very pro-military/pro american view p[oints. Fortunately, in some states-this does not work too well like in my State of PA. Though we have a right to work economy and unions being diminished-many are Democrats-pro American/Pro military. Gun rights and more hostile to religous people is also some reasons why(me thinks)
@daveme7 yep "1984" right to work actually means take away workers rights and lower there pay , so company's that are already making record profits can make even more and lets all be "right to life " so when that kid grows up in poverty and commits a crime we can put him or her to death in an electric chair.should be called right to shit life.
@umacarrot On most of this IK do not thinkl I disagree. When someone asked me who was I voting for, they were shocked when I told them Pres. Obama. @daveme7 Sorry for my terrible spelling/button smashing on the keyboard. If we take that whole iudeal of abortion out of the picture-what is the point. We think if we are born in America(USA),that all people are crewated equally. I disagree anbd think the Amartay Sen ideal of we are born equally but not raised equally. We still have the same problems whether abortion is legal or illegal-the same problems still exist.

I heard on the "christian radio" the other day when Mike Huckabee called for a "no fly zone."

I am not a millionaire and I support Republicans because they support our troops and they war they fight unlike the Democrats. I also support them because big business is where the average Americans job comes from because without businesses there would be no jobs. I believe that everyone has the right to their money that they earn and no one should take it from them. The rich are rich because they are successful not because someone helped them.
@kphillips257 This somewhat true though I would say a mis-perception. Sounds like the trickle down approach in the Reagan years. The problem is since Pres Reagan left office-getting nto trade agreements with NAFTA and GATT did a lot to make companies leave. Most times I would agree with you but no more. When you find out that Bush massaged the system to make it harder for vets and retiring soldiers get much less if anything. I saw it happen and poerhaps taking it more personally than most
They are what you call mind controlled people. You and the governments of the world may classified people as being poor, middle class or rich. I call that living in the world of judgment. I myself am tired of living in a world of judgment and would like to see the people of this world to change the way see this world and envision a world of oneness. We all live on one planet in one universe. My question is, why do people of this world support that kind of life?
you know, I've always wondered this myself. my guess would be things like belief in the constitution, faith in free markets, work ethic, etc. also some ppl, no matter what, do not feel like they should be other's responsibility. and I am fascinated/addicted to American politics too! oh, and I am a libertarian because I hate the notion of govm't involvement in personal matters, and because too much govm't hinders the role of free markets. with that said, I am all for equal human rights
of the Koch brothers. They recieve a paycheck for their kicking and screaming. They're also given silly costumes to make asses of themselves. The know nothing of American History, but still get paid to make a farce of our system. Overall, just very disillusioned LOSERS! Some really believe they too will be wealthy someday. Despite the fact they live in a barn with 50 of their kin.LOL. Hope that helps because they're a JOKE!!!:)
Thanks for your interest in U.S. politics. I'd like to answer your question.First, I'm a U.S. Democrat from the North and your question is just as baffeling to us as it is you. The majority of what you've seen, are poor and middle class Southerners that rally on behalf of the Republicans. Despite the fact that it is not in their best interest, these people are not terribly bright, not well educated, and only do as their parents and grandparents did. The T Party are paid employees....
john boehner does not care about regular folks he only cares about the rich folks, the entire republican part only cares about the richest folks out there. And you got middle class people voting republican then they complain when the party they voted for screws this country over and screws them over. They helped to bring it on themselves
Actually, it no longer matters how American people vote. The wealthy and corporations are in control of everything. Remember when Gore was elected president by the people and yet was not made president? I am no longer deluded into thinking that my vote counts, it doesn't.
I'm a liberal American so I can only speak from observation, it appears to me (& research backs me on this)that Republicans tend to be authoritarians. The inner party displays this often, they often place themselves as the party of God, equate dissent with treason, ignore the rule of law& are power hungry. The card carriers follow in blind submission, are antidemocratic,anti-equality &tend to psychologically project. If you want to know why people are Republican, find the cause of authoritarianism.
@umacarrot Well, you have to be kinda stupid to buy the argument that cutting taxes for billionaires is somehow going to make the middle class richer.
I like you am a Canadian addicted to American politics. My theory is that the Republican party is more like a church. If your parents were republicans and everybody around you is republican, you're likely to be Rep. too. And you've been taught articles of dogma like "tax cuts for billionaires creates more jobs" ever since your birth so you don't question it. I think they vote much more according to a sense of group affiliation than any actual policy.
@devourerofbabies That is an excellent observation , and would explain the irrational thought process that would allow an other wise intelligent person to believe that lowering taxes on the mega rich will improve the economy even though there has never been a time in history when this worked!
@devourerofbabies That is how the liberals spin it. If I take less of your money that you earn are you going to call it a cut in stealing, or are you gonna say I'm stealing less from you? Everyone should pay the same percentage. That is only fair. As it is now, if you make 84k a year, you get about 1/3 of your earnings taken. So why not just work less, lay off a few people so you only make 80k, and only get taxed 25%. Thats how it works folks. Anyone with ambition gets taxed a higher percent.
@CocacolaCowboy1919 It's not spin. If the tax rate is X% and you reduce X, then that's a tax cut. There's no spin, that's just the definition of the word.
@CocacolaCowboy1919 A tax cut is a reduction in rates. Period. Whether you agree with the rates or not is another issue. Trying to insist that an ordinary term is somehow "spin" is just foolish. But this is what conservatives do. They attack the language to obfuscate issues because they know they can't win otherwise. This was a fun little Orwellian game. Thanks for playing.
@devourerofbabies Actually Liberals are know for the spin. Constantly. Conservatives called it Pro-Life in 1973. In 75 the Pro-Abortionists changed it to Pro-choice, because they knew that murder is wrong but wanted to make it sound better. Progressive, to make it sound forward thinking.. Distributing weath instead of stealing. They spin the oil spills they don't mention that the spill would have been easy to fix if we drilled closer to shore.
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Oh bullshit. How is pro-choice "spin"? They're in favor of a woman's right to choose. "Pro-life" on the other hand is conservative spin because it implies that only they care about life. Conservatives are the only ones talking about re-distribution of wealth. You never hear that from liberals. And what are you even talking about the oil spill for? Massive ecological disaster is somehow liberal spin? What are you being BP's butt boy for? I hope they're paying you.
@devourerofbabies Womans right to choose what about the baby, and the father? Again, pro life was first, It was pro abortion then liberals SPUN it. And conservatives do care about innocent life. OBAMA QUOTE---"spread the wealth around"!!!! Oil spin, is that shallow water drilling is safe and if something happened it would be fized easily, and also, it was not that bad. I live in Florida, and the businesses suffered because the news showed oil pics from other areas,
@CocacolaCowboy1919 And Im not saying the spill was a good thing, but it was not as bad as people think. Same thing happened in COZUMEL in 79 and ther is no damage. Its very popular place to visit. Get some facts stop listening to the news. There was a little bit of damage by oil, but it was in balls, and easily collected, not like Exxon-Valdez. And again, if we were allowed to drill close to shore, divers could have fixed it. This was miles deep where humans can't go
@CocacolaCowboy1919 The baby doesn't exist yet and it's not the father's body. Nobody is pro abortion, that's just silly. And if pro-lifers were really pro-life they'd be against the death penalty and against war, which are two things they're usually very much in favor of. They're not pro-anything. What they really are is anti-choice. They want to deny women their reproductive sovereignty which makes them anti-woman.
@devourerofbabies Why do you say things like BP's Butt Boy? Is that how so called educated liberals act? I live in Florida, No environmental disaster. I speak of facts. Read what I wrote. It is a baby if you believe in life, I used to think the same way that it was just cells but it is not. I mentioned pro lifers being protective of INNOCENT life, and yeah some people are anti-aborthin AND anti- death penalty. Way to generalize people Mr "open minded" liberal
@CocacolaCowboy1919 I'm calling you BP's buttboy because you're apologizing for them. Is that how liberals act? I don't know. I can only speak for myself when I say YES. You're (disingenuously) claiming that criticizing BP's negligence is somehow liberal propaganda, which is just nonsense. You're defending the indefensible and at the same time smearing people who actually give a shit about the environment. So yeah, that makes you BP's BUTT BOY.
@devourerofbabies I never apologised for them, I said it was not bad (I LIVE IN FLORIDA) and i actually said it was not a good thing but not that bad. I never smeared people who give a shit about the environment you moron. Please show me the quotes. How bout you actually read what I wrote? Also grow up while youre at it. Im not contunuing since you keep talking like a third grader with the butt boy stuff
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Moron? Is that how conservatives behave? By calling people morons? I thought you were opposed to name calling. Apparently it's only okay when you do it.
@devourerofbabies calling someone a moron after you have repeated yourself a few times, and AFTER they call you BUTT BOY a few times is acceptable according to the Conservative Handbook. It's in the 3rd or 4th chapter
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Well, maybe there's some confusion. Here's my personal definition of Butt Boy: Someone who volunteers without hope of personal gain to work on behalf of a party that doesn't give a shit about them. In this case the party that doesn't give a shit about you is BP. Hence, you are being BP's butt boy. And yes, I know you live in Florida. Good for you. Just because you can't see an oil slick from your house doesn't mean it "isn't that bad".
A zygote is not a baby. An embryo is not a baby. Sorry. Abortion doesn't kill babies. I know that you think that your bare assertions qualify as arguments, but they don't.
Yes, some people are pro-life and anti death penalty. But come on dude, who are you trying to kid? The vast, VAST majority of pro-lifers support the death penalty. You know that and I know that.
Hey, wanna know who's anti-abortion and anti-death penalty? I am. I'm also pro choice.
@devourerofbabiesLife- c : an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction. And AGAIN SINCE YOU DO NOT READ----------- THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE WHO CHOOSES TO TAKE A LIFE AND AN INNOCENT UNBORN BABY---A murderer deserves to die, an innocent unborn baby does not.
@CocacolaCowboy1919 A fetus is not a baby. Sorry. It doesn't matter how many times you call it a baby, it isn't a baby. A fetus in the first trimester cannot survive outside the womb and it hasn't yet developed synapses which means it is physiologically incapable of experiencing anything at all. Not a baby.
Murderers deserve to die? How did you arrive at that judgment? And just why do you think you're fit to determine who is deserving of death? Who the hell do you think you are?
@devourerofbabies. These are society's rules, and more importantly God's rules& definition. He who strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death. But if he did not lie in wait, but God delivered him into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place where he may flee. But if a man acts with intent, to kill him with guile, you shall take him from My altar, that he may die."Ex. 21:12-14-Before I formed you in the womb I knew you".Jer 1:5 If you don't believe in Him fine see what happens
@devourerofbabies IF murderers are not put to death (As they are so often not these days) Murder rates increace. FACT and I ran out of room in other reply, but I am not the one judging, a Judge & Jury does that. But I do know that if someone murders they need to be killed (there are exeptions as in the biblical quote about manslaughter & other instances) its not my rules. When you have your own country you can kill babies and let murderers live & have your peaceful utopia with noone left to tax
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Pffffft. That's just totally false. Murder rates are higher in the United States, MUCH higher in fact, than any other developed country. The US is also the only country that still executes prisoners. You're basing your argument on total nonsense.
@devourerofbabies Are you kidding? We let MANY murderers out after 20 years!!! So you tink the reason we have hight murder rates is because we have capital punishment? Loney tunes. Look at countries that have what we consider severe (remember the caining of Michael Fay in Singapore). They have less crime.
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Conservative cherry picking. You want to talk about other countries? How about ALL OF WESTERN EUROPE? No, you're going to pick one example that you think supports your claim and ignore the mountain of examples that contradict it. When I compared states it didn't count because they weren't similar enough, but comparing the US to Singapore somehow is meaningful. lol Typical conservative. Choosing facts to support your opinion rather that forming your opinion based on facts.
I think it is funny that you use these examples. There are more factors involved, one cannot say that because the state uses capital punishment, then murder should dissapear, based on that alone. Also notice, MI and TX are similar, off by one hundredth- so your statistics prove nothing. Again. there are more things involved besides just cap punishment stats. I am making a guess, TX is on the Border to Mexico, lot of smuggling and gang related, where as Wisconsin has polka and bratwurst.
@devourerofbabies Also, there is a difference in death penalty and abortion. When you kill someone, that should be punished by Death. Abortion is killing an innocent life. And the father should have rights too. It takes two people to make a baby. You are so far up a vagina you might as well be a feminist. Pro-lifers believe in giving a choice-choose to procreate then be responsible. Adoption is great option.
@CocacolaCowboy1919 I fully agree that there's a difference between the death penalty and abortion. When you abort a fetus you're not killing a human being. When you execute someone, you are.
And what's wrong with being a feminist? I'm beginning to wonder how you get internet access in that cave you live in.
@devourerofbabies There is nothing wrong with being for equal rights. There is something wrong with affirmative action and being an anti male feminist. If all you can do is try to insult me (cave reference), then do not reply
@CocacolaCowboy1919 If you are for equal rights for women you fit the definition of a "liberal feminist". I know you think liberal is a dirty word, but liberal feminism is a recognized branch of feminism which basically just means you believe in equal rights.
What does feminism have to do with affirmative action? What does it have to do with being anti-male? Where are you getting this stuff from?
And yes, I have insulted you. So what. You've insulted me too. Spare me your crocodile tears
@devourerofbabies I'm not crying sweetheart why do you assume that? I never said liberal was a bad word either. I like classical liberals. Also, WHY DO I HAVE TO BE CALLED A LABEL IF I THINK WOMEN DESERVE RESPECT? I love how you put words into my mouth, and you presume to know what I think. I am only commenting on things you say, while you bring up assumptions And lets see--affirmative action having to do with feminism....don't both subjects deal with being treated fairly? Rocket science.
@CocacolaCowboy1919 What do you think "crocodile tears" means? It means a false complaint. Meaning you've insulted me too, so why are you complaining when I insult you? ROCKET SCIENCE
Democrats accuse Republicans about not caring about the poor, the black & hispanic communities but the facts are that Democrats treat these groups as disabled victims who need to be permanently attached to government life support. Republicans believe in helping these true Americans by promoting low taxes to promote home ownership, small business creation, financial knowledge, savings & stables families. The government solutions of the progressives do not work.

Venture capital given to small start ups is the ultimate transfer of wealth from rich to poor.Investors care little about the size of one's bank account, or skin color. They base decisions to pour money into an enterprise based on vision talent and dedication of the people running it. This is what works. Over 5 trillion dollars of wasted taxpayer money via the New Deal and Great Society have only made poverty worse and have led to moral and economic bankruptcy. Liberal programs do not work.
@BlackRepublican2010 You are dead wrong on all counts , and the facts make that very clear. unfortunately i am too busy at this time of the year to demonstrate your error , but I promise as soon as I can I will give you the info that convinced me, I hope you are not biased and have an open mind.
@BlackRepublican2010 I would agree that venture capital is a good thing, but the ultimate........not even close. not everyone is suited to running a business and a large portion of businesses fail in the first few years of operation , often the failure is caused by market conditions or competion and not the fault of the business owner. The new deal was a response to reckless behavior of big business under republicans that caused the great depression.
@BlackRepublican2010 America enjoyed it's greatest economic prosperity in th 50's 60's and 70's because of the new deal. US debt is about 14 trillion dollars 9 trillion was racked up under republicans and 5 under democrats so apparently conservative programs work even less ....... unless of course you are a bank or millionaire.
@BlackRepublican2010 WHAT! Stop drinking the Kool-Aid! Republicans defend the banks that caused the financial crisis, they defend BP, they hate anything which could possibly help any non-rich people...period!.
@dienglee De,pcrats in Congress caused the problem by liberal policies which allowed people that couln't afford houses to get them on loans they couldn't pay back. Republicans believe in equality-equal from birth to have the same rights. Not equal housing. If you don't earn it you don't get it. Some people are deserving of help and welfare and I am not against it. Why is it that God wants only 10% of what is already his, but Govt wants 25-40% of what is ours so crackheads have it?
@dienglee And I live on a street where 18-20yr old White males are on disability ( I hear them talk about it and sell their medication we pay for) because of stupid mental issues, while they can walk up and down street throwin beer bottles in my yard. I have similar mental problems, and I can't get help I need. I have to do what I can and hopefully I am gonna overcome my issues and get rich so you can sell medication.
I detest the Liberalist idea that certain people are predestined for doom, gloom and failure based on gender, class, economic status, my parent's socioeconomic status and level of education, my residential location, ethnicity and my race. How dare they give me such a cloudy forecast for my life and abilities. This is nothing but a depressing sob story & excuse for laziness. How dare they put a cap on my level of motivation, intelligence, will, desire, strength, talent and possibilities.
@Bonaparte9709 I don't know where you get that this is a liberal idea, in fact I would say that most liberal policies are there to help the disadvantaged.
We are all too divided here in the US, from religious to political and beyond. The rich do have the most power, at least in my opinion- but the real issue is that in today's economy most are desperately out of touch. I can't claim to be one group or the other, personally they all disgust me at this point.
Coincidentally I was listening to an interview on CBC this morning, Stephen Fry was discussing his new book, he spent a year driving across the US in a black British cab talking to people, and writing down his observations , sounds like it may be an eye opener.

My question is, why do people of this world support that kind of life?
ricklandbarrett 3 months ago
you know, I've always wondered this myself. my guess would be things like belief in the constitution, faith in free markets, work ethic, etc. also some ppl, no matter what, do not feel like they should be other's responsibility. and I am fascinated/addicted to American politics too! oh, and I am a libertarian because I hate the notion of govm't involvement in personal matters, and because too much govm't hinders the role of free markets. with that said, I am all for equal human rights

TheRockfan68 6 months ago
john boehner does not care about regular folks he only cares about the rich folks, the entire republican part only cares about the richest folks out there.

Fuctmentality 10 months ago 3
@Fuctmentality That may also explain why a English researcher found conservatives generally had lower I.Q. ,s ; )
umacarrot 10 months ago
@umacarrot Well, you have to be kinda stupid to buy the argument that cutting taxes for billionaires is somehow going to make the middle class richer.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
I like you am a Canadian addicted to American politics. My theory is that the Republican party is more like a church. If your parents were republicans and everybody around you is republican, you're likely to be Rep. too. And you've been taught articles of dogma like "tax cuts for billionaires creates more jobs" ever since your birth so you don't question it. I think they vote much more according to a sense of group affiliation than any actual policy.
devourerofbabies 10 months ago
@devourerofbabies That is an excellent observation , and would explain the irrational thought process that would allow an other wise intelligent person to believe that lowering taxes on the mega rich will improve the economy even though there has never been a time in history when this worked!
umacarrot 10 months ago
@devourerofbabies Its not a tax cut. It is their money. It is taking less taxes.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Taking less taxes IS a tax cut. That is in fact the definition of a tax cut.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies That is how the liberals spin it. If I take less of your money that you earn are you going to call it a cut in stealing, or are you gonna say I'm stealing less from you? Everyone should pay the same percentage. That is only fair. As it is now, if you make 84k a year, you get about 1/3 of your earnings taken. So why not just work less, lay off a few people so you only make 80k, and only get taxed 25%. Thats how it works folks. Anyone with ambition gets taxed a higher percent.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 It's not spin. If the tax rate is X% and you reduce X, then that's a tax cut. There's no spin, that's just the definition of the word.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies But the spin is as if "Hey they are giving rich people a break and not us poor people." Well the poor people pay less percentage.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 A tax cut is a reduction in rates. Period. Whether you agree with the rates or not is another issue. Trying to insist that an ordinary term is somehow "spin" is just foolish. But this is what conservatives do. They attack the language to obfuscate issues because they know they can't win otherwise. This was a fun little Orwellian game. Thanks for playing.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies Actually Liberals are know for the spin. Constantly. Conservatives called it Pro-Life in 1973. In 75 the Pro-Abortionists changed it to Pro-choice, because they knew that murder is wrong but wanted to make it sound better. Progressive, to make it sound forward thinking.. Distributing weath instead of stealing. They spin the oil spills they don't mention that the spill would have been easy to fix if we drilled closer to shore.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Oh bullshit. How is pro-choice "spin"? They're in favor of a woman's right to choose. "Pro-life" on the other hand is conservative spin because it implies that only they care about life. Conservatives are the only ones talking about re-distribution of wealth. You never hear that from liberals. And what are you even talking about the oil spill for? Massive ecological disaster is somehow liberal spin? What are you being BP's butt boy for? I hope they're paying you.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies Womans right to choose what about the baby, and the father? Again, pro life was first, It was pro abortion then liberals SPUN it. And conservatives do care about innocent life. OBAMA QUOTE---"spread the wealth around"!!!! Oil spin, is that shallow water drilling is safe and if something happened it would be fized easily, and also, it was not that bad. I live in Florida, and the businesses suffered because the news showed oil pics from other areas,
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 And Im not saying the spill was a good thing, but it was not as bad as people think. Same thing happened in COZUMEL in 79 and ther is no damage. Its very popular place to visit. Get some facts stop listening to the news. There was a little bit of damage by oil, but it was in balls, and easily collected, not like Exxon-Valdez. And again, if we were allowed to drill close to shore, divers could have fixed it. This was miles deep where humans can't go
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 The baby doesn't exist yet and it's not the father's body. Nobody is pro abortion, that's just silly. And if pro-lifers were really pro-life they'd be against the death penalty and against war, which are two things they're usually very much in favor of. They're not pro-anything. What they really are is anti-choice. They want to deny women their reproductive sovereignty which makes them anti-woman.
And why are you still being BP's butt boy?
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies Why do you say things like BP's Butt Boy? Is that how so called educated liberals act? I live in Florida, No environmental disaster. I speak of facts. Read what I wrote. It is a baby if you believe in life, I used to think the same way that it was just cells but it is not. I mentioned pro lifers being protective of INNOCENT life, and yeah some people are anti-aborthin AND anti- death penalty. Way to generalize people Mr "open minded" liberal
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 I'm calling you BP's buttboy because you're apologizing for them. Is that how liberals act? I don't know. I can only speak for myself when I say YES. You're (disingenuously) claiming that criticizing BP's negligence is somehow liberal propaganda, which is just nonsense. You're defending the indefensible and at the same time smearing people who actually give a shit about the environment. So yeah, that makes you BP's BUTT BOY.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies I never apologised for them, I said it was not bad (I LIVE IN FLORIDA) and i actually said it was not a good thing but not that bad. I never smeared people who give a shit about the environment you moron. Please show me the quotes. How bout you actually read what I wrote? Also grow up while youre at it. Im not contunuing since you keep talking like a third grader with the butt boy stuff
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Moron? Is that how conservatives behave? By calling people morons? I thought you were opposed to name calling. Apparently it's only okay when you do it.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies calling someone a moron after you have repeated yourself a few times, and AFTER they call you BUTT BOY a few times is acceptable according to the Conservative Handbook. It's in the 3rd or 4th chapter
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Well, maybe there's some confusion. Here's my personal definition of Butt Boy: Someone who volunteers without hope of personal gain to work on behalf of a party that doesn't give a shit about them. In this case the party that doesn't give a shit about you is BP. Hence, you are being BP's butt boy. And yes, I know you live in Florida. Good for you. Just because you can't see an oil slick from your house doesn't mean it "isn't that bad".
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
A zygote is not a baby. An embryo is not a baby. Sorry. Abortion doesn't kill babies. I know that you think that your bare assertions qualify as arguments, but they don't.
Yes, some people are pro-life and anti death penalty. But come on dude, who are you trying to kid? The vast, VAST majority of pro-lifers support the death penalty. You know that and I know that.
Hey, wanna know who's anti-abortion and anti-death penalty? I am. I'm also pro choice.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabiesLife- c : an organismic state characterized by capacity for metabolism, growth, reaction to stimuli, and reproduction. And AGAIN SINCE YOU DO NOT READ----------- THERE IS A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE WHO CHOOSES TO TAKE A LIFE AND AN INNOCENT UNBORN BABY---A murderer deserves to die, an innocent unborn baby does not.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 A fetus is not a baby. Sorry. It doesn't matter how many times you call it a baby, it isn't a baby. A fetus in the first trimester cannot survive outside the womb and it hasn't yet developed synapses which means it is physiologically incapable of experiencing anything at all. Not a baby.
Murderers deserve to die? How did you arrive at that judgment? And just why do you think you're fit to determine who is deserving of death? Who the hell do you think you are?
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies. These are society's rules, and more importantly God's rules& definition. He who strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death. But if he did not lie in wait, but God delivered him into his hand, then I will appoint for you a place where he may flee. But if a man acts with intent, to kill him with guile, you shall take him from My altar, that he may die."Ex. 21:12-14-Before I formed you in the womb I knew you".Jer 1:5 If you don't believe in Him fine see what happens
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Ah. You're quoting the bible. How cute. I don't think your quaint superstitions should be the basis for actual policy.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies IF murderers are not put to death (As they are so often not these days) Murder rates increace. FACT and I ran out of room in other reply, but I am not the one judging, a Judge & Jury does that. But I do know that if someone murders they need to be killed (there are exeptions as in the biblical quote about manslaughter & other instances) its not my rules. When you have your own country you can kill babies and let murderers live & have your peaceful utopia with noone left to tax
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Pffffft. That's just totally false. Murder rates are higher in the United States, MUCH higher in fact, than any other developed country. The US is also the only country that still executes prisoners. You're basing your argument on total nonsense.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies Are you kidding? We let MANY murderers out after 20 years!!! So you tink the reason we have hight murder rates is because we have capital punishment? Loney tunes. Look at countries that have what we consider severe (remember the caining of Michael Fay in Singapore). They have less crime.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Conservative cherry picking. You want to talk about other countries? How about ALL OF WESTERN EUROPE? No, you're going to pick one example that you think supports your claim and ignore the mountain of examples that contradict it. When I compared states it didn't count because they weren't similar enough, but comparing the US to Singapore somehow is meaningful. lol Typical conservative. Choosing facts to support your opinion rather that forming your opinion based on facts.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
And when did I ever say murder rates are high because of capital punishment? I said it doesn't decrease crime, not that it increases it.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 Here are some stats for you: murder rates per capita by state:
The two states that have been longest without the death penalty:
Michigan: 0.06 / 1000
Wisconsin: 0.04 / 1000
The two states that execute the most people:
Texas: 0.07 / 1000
Virginia: 0.07 / 1000
Interestingly, West Virginia has abolished the death penalty.
West Virginia: 0.04 / 1000
I know it's a small sample size, forgive me. Covering all 50 states won't fit in the 500 character limit.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
I think it is funny that you use these examples. There are more factors involved, one cannot say that because the state uses capital punishment, then murder should dissapear, based on that alone. Also notice, MI and TX are similar, off by one hundredth- so your statistics prove nothing. Again. there are more things involved besides just cap punishment stats. I am making a guess, TX is on the Border to Mexico, lot of smuggling and gang related, where as Wisconsin has polka and bratwurst.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 I should have known better than to try to present a conservative with evidence.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies Also, there is a difference in death penalty and abortion. When you kill someone, that should be punished by Death. Abortion is killing an innocent life. And the father should have rights too. It takes two people to make a baby. You are so far up a vagina you might as well be a feminist. Pro-lifers believe in giving a choice-choose to procreate then be responsible. Adoption is great option.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 I fully agree that there's a difference between the death penalty and abortion. When you abort a fetus you're not killing a human being. When you execute someone, you are.
And what's wrong with being a feminist? I'm beginning to wonder how you get internet access in that cave you live in.
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies There is nothing wrong with being for equal rights. There is something wrong with affirmative action and being an anti male feminist. If all you can do is try to insult me (cave reference), then do not reply
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago
@CocacolaCowboy1919 If you are for equal rights for women you fit the definition of a "liberal feminist". I know you think liberal is a dirty word, but liberal feminism is a recognized branch of feminism which basically just means you believe in equal rights.
What does feminism have to do with affirmative action? What does it have to do with being anti-male? Where are you getting this stuff from?
And yes, I have insulted you. So what. You've insulted me too. Spare me your crocodile tears
devourerofbabies 8 months ago
@devourerofbabies I'm not crying sweetheart why do you assume that? I never said liberal was a bad word either. I like classical liberals. Also, WHY DO I HAVE TO BE CALLED A LABEL IF I THINK WOMEN DESERVE RESPECT? I love how you put words into my mouth, and you presume to know what I think. I am only commenting on things you say, while you bring up assumptions And lets see--affirmative action having to do with feminism....don't both subjects deal with being treated fairly? Rocket science.
CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago

BlackRepublican2010 1 year ago
@BlackRepublican2010 You are dead wrong on all counts , and the facts make that very clear. unfortunately i am too busy at this time of the year to demonstrate your error , but I promise as soon as I can I will give you the info that convinced me, I hope you are not biased and have an open mind.
umacarrot 1 year ago
@BlackRepublican2010 I would agree that venture capital is a good thing, but the ultimate........not even close. not everyone is suited to running a business and a large portion of businesses fail in the first few years of operation , often the failure is caused by market conditions or competion and not the fault of the business owner. The new deal was a response to reckless behavior of big business under republicans that caused the great depression.
umacarrot 1 year ago
@BlackRepublican2010 America enjoyed it's greatest economic prosperity in th 50's 60's and 70's because of the new deal. US debt is about 14 trillion dollars 9 trillion was racked up under republicans and 5 under democrats so apparently conservative programs work even less ....... unless of course you are a bank or millionaire.

CocacolaCowboy1919 8 months ago

We are all too divided here in the US, from religious to political and beyond. The rich do have the most power, at least in my opinion- but the real issue is that in today's economy most are desperately out of touch. I can't claim to be one group or the other, personally they all disgust me at this point.
