The filters off ebay are shit, ya the pipes are probably the same, but the intake that came with the berk parts is AEM dry flow, which offers no oil. There will never be MAF sensor problems with this intake. The no name brands off ebay will ruin your MAF sensor over time because of the oil on the filter.

you got intake off ebay i bet you 3 inches for the max its susposed to 2.75 its to wide for your MAFS and could result in a loss of power engine running lean or the CEL coming on. better get rid of it dude. ASAP

first of all, clean ur car its a disgrace to all maxima's....2nd of all, intake sounds good but i have a 00 maxima (same engine) and i bought a 95-99 maxima intake on ebay for 30 bux, and fits the same..intake is intake, just depends of short ram or not

because the CAI is more expensive, and the short ram has a deeper sound.

i dont think they make a CAI for the maximas. i couldnt notice any horsepower increase really, but torque i would say so, especially since mine is a manual. the installation was pretty simple.

CAI is shit in cold weather. it does absolutley nothing. he clearly lives in a cold place so a SRI is the way to go

yeah....don't think they carry the K&N anymore. They replaced it with the AEM. I ordered mine with the Apexi. I have an 00 auto and hopefully it sounds as mean as yours.

i didnt get the apexi, i ordered the K&N, but they sent me an AEM dryflow synthetic filter that requires no oil, i guess it's better than the K&N.
