If anyone still needs this functionality the MegaFiers system in the Asset store supports .pc2 or .mdd files so no special exporter needed, search for 'Unity Point Cache MegaFiers' and you can see a video on it.

Will this allow you to export animations created in Max to other programs such as Modo? Where can I find this script?

Will this work in Unity3d because as it is, Unity doesn't support vertex animation so it has to be faked by using a baked animation..

for this script vertex animation = baked animation ,i will test it in unity ,but i think it will not work
