Charlie Ergen you should be ashamed of yourself. Your employees suck. So rude, you teaching them how to lie to customers. I hope everyone reports your company to the Better Business Bureau. Where can you complain? Who listens. I would NOT recommend Dish Network to anyone. You got customer reps that are rude and don't know what they're talking about or this maybe your mission statement for your company. Get their money then tell them anything.
@stupieboy: My contract does not say that my price is subject to change. It says that Dish Network might offer other packages and other prices while my contract is in force, and that Dish is not obligated to change my pricing.
come to find out it is Charlie wanting to do away with subcontractors. We had to let go of everyone, all working paycheck to paycheck. Do you know how hard it was for us to let our installers know that had no jobs anymore. Several of them lost there homes, car, van etc. How he can sleep knowing he is causing great stress, anxiety, etc. We, the little people, are the back bone of Dish. We are the ones that install this in ALL types of weather.
@Deb47ful What sucks is working the tech dept for Dish and hearing how subcontractors consistantly screw up installations. I give thumbs up to doing away with subcontractors.
@Deb47ful You are an ASS!! We worked VERY HARD and did ALL OUR JOBS TO THE LETTER!!! OUR QUALITY CONTROL REPORTS WERE GREAT. If there were any problems they were never major. Yes, some other contractors were horrible, but we, sir, were not. That is why we lasted over 4yrs. Saw many come and go and we were well liked. That is why we were shocked. By the way the internal installers from Dish, when we road up on some of there installs, we turned them back to the internal office. SLOPPY
I am soooooo pissed off at Dish. I was a subcontractor for over 4yrs. We put up with sooooo much of there crap. Everytime they changed the rules for installing it would cost my company and my installers MORE MONEY. Guess what the pay was the same. Then out of the blue with one phone call they pulled our contract. Just saying that we do not need you anymore.
It would be hard to find an individual with lower morals than Charlie Ergan. The deceptive trade practices of his company are right on on par with Comcast. He maintains control by contributing hundreds of thousands of dollars to politicians who then vote to support his monopolistic practices.
@louiswilen Reall, louis? there is no one with lower moral values? Bin Laden? OJ? Hitler?
Wow, that is really rare, the CEO of a large corporation who contributes money to politicians to influence them. You certaintly never see that in America.
@lake122 Glad you asked. Maybe not as bad as Bin Laden -- but certainly at the bottom of the pack as far as CEOs go.
What other company agrees to a contract, then tries to force unilateral price changes on its customers? What other company has been investigated by so many state Attorney Generals, and has then agreed to stop its deceptive trade practices? What other CEO is one of the wealthiest 200 Americans, and has bought off dozens of politicians (or perhaps hundreds)?
@louiswilen Check out Direct TV. They are pretty bad too. And if you are literate, and not retarded, you would see that in the contract it does say that prices are subject to change. The contract, like with any other provider, is not a price lock.
