  • This is a great video and you cannot begin to image how much we appreciate it. I have two children one of which is on the higher functioning end of the sprectrum. My boss and I started a Run/Walk for Autism in February called teh Polar Bear Run/Walk for Autism. Our first year we had 530 particiapntsa and the second was this past year during a snow storm we doubled that number. Our hope this year is to make it an even bigger event. What would be the chances of you coming to South Jersey?

  • I have Asperger Syndrome and a slight form of ADHD myself (27 years old now), I got the results out just before x-mas 2009. So I know what it is to have autism. My whole childhood got basically destroyed thanks to not knowing about it, however I do have big advantages now being much smarter then the average person (IQ of 145 minimum, most likely higher)

My deepest respect for the author of this song, it really is a beautiful song and hit me deep inside.

  • My 2 yr old son just got diagnosed with mod/sev autism... This song is so beautiful!!!! Can't stop crying!

  • As I watched my adult sized 13 yo son nap today in the car on the 3 hr drive home from his 2ND psych hospital admission.....I see that little baby boy in this beautiful video. Even our high functioning autism kids and teens struggle and they are so often misunderstood. And families like ours struggle to secure them the therapies they need due to finances. We are close to filing bankruptcy..and all we are trying todo is help our precious son.

  • Great song. It brought tears to my eyes.

  • As a mom of two kids with Autism I can't thank you enough for this song. This is my favorite song ever...it makes me cry everytime I listen to it but I still love it! • Why do I cry every time that I hear this song. I will not stop praying for these kids. They are a gift from God. My son is 7 yrs and he is picked on at school and it is so hard to watch over him 24/7. "God I ask that you protect these kids from the cruel comments of this world."

  • What is the point in donating to Autism charities? Being autistic myself, i have never so much as heard from them, that or its just britan

  • What a great song, my 4 year old son is living with Autism.

  • In my opinion, these kids are great. my son has autism and is vocal because he worked HARD to accomplish that with my help. There are some kids that need therapies that are not paid for. Others like my son, need understanding. my true war is to help make people understand. Marc I loved the song. I am glad to see someone trying to make a change.

  • in reply to the last comment no it isnt fun to live with autism but we have to deal with what we have we cant feel sorry for oursleves if we keep acting like we are the victim the people are gunna treat us worse

  • Thank you Mark for this video, my son is 7 and non verbal. we are here in Japan and he is attending special class. We love him so much.. to all the mom and dad who have autistic child, be strong we are not alone in this battle, God is watching us..

  • Amen to the last post!

  • I think the key to raising more money for Autism related causes is convincing those not yet touched by Autism that it is a cause worth fighting for. Every new parent should see this video. Perhaps, then, those not touched would give more. Just a thought.

  • I am a special education teacher and working with the austism spectrum is what I hold dearest to my heart. This song is very touching and brings tears to my eyes...Keep up the great work!

  • i have a child with autism thanks for posting this song i so love it

She is our ray of sunshine! Love and Hugs to all!! I can so relate to what is "normal"! I always say quote normal! No one is normal!

  • Mark Leland, Thank you for all your efforts that you are doing to help educate a world that thinks some one different from them is abnormal. But what is normal? Maybe to a child with autism, we are the weird ones. God bless you. Your song has touched many lives.

  • This video makes me cry every time I hear the words of the song. This song tells a story of what all parents go through. It has been hard for our 6 year old son, our other children and ous. This song makes me cry every time that I hear it. I pray all the time for him. Not for a cure but for people to understand them. I know that they are a gift from God, created with a purpose.

  • I appreciate all of your comments. I would really enjoy coming to Australia in the near future and helping you guys raise more awareness for the cause of autism. Keep your head up and never give up. Thank you for your dedication...

  • My daughter is severely affected by autism. She's six, not completely toilet-trained, and nonverbal, but communicates with gestures. She fortunately is very affectionate and likes to be hugged and kissed. I still wish she didn't have autism, though. I fear for her future every single day.

  • its a shame this song as only 52K plus veiws.....we need to tell the world of this beautiful affliction....my little man has autism.....and would give the WHOLE world for him to understand and feel the love i have for my little man.......

  • Thank you so much for this video. I have a 23 year old son with autism, who is developmentally 3 years old. There is so much more available now for these children than when my son was diagnosed at 4 years old. Back then, it was 1 in 10,000 -- now it is 1 in 150! Keep pushing for research and answers. I applaud the warrior parents out there. Lastly, love these these special children. They are truly gifts from God. Pray for their future, pray for their caregivers, pray for a cure.

  • Thanks man. I have Aspergers, great song.

  • Listening to this song, watching the video and reading all the comments on it. They actually made me cry. Everything that is said is true. People dont realise how much autism can affect your life, even if you're not directly affected. My brothers both have autism, one of whom is four. We're still waiting for the day that he speaks, and I know that its going to me magical.

  • What a beautiful and touching song.

Thank you for all your efforts in helping

    with Autism Awareness.

    Silkia

  • Fantastic video! I know some people who are autistic, and they are some of the nicest people I have ever met. Life is hard for them certainly, partly because people don't understand them. I am amazed by the amount of non verbal autistic children there are, I have the total opposite with my son who talks all day from the moment he wakes. everyone assumes he normal becuase he is so talkative. but no one stops and realizes hes talking at people not with them. God bless all the parents strong enough to take care of these special people.I am lucky enough to have an amazing support network around me, and pray that everyone else can find the same.

  • This is such a beautiful song and it makes me tear up each and every time I hear it. What a poignant song that keeps the message of autism and it's awareness in the hearts of everyone who hears it.

Being the mom of an almost 9yo boy who has autism, it's amazing to look back and see where we came from and finally be at a point where we can look forward and see where we are heading. My son has a bright future thanks to wonderful people like you who are raising the awareness of autism. thank you!!

  • My son was diagnosed with Autism last month. He is only three years old. I have spend many nights in tears wondering if I did something wrong, or if there is something more I can do. Just imagining the confusion my son endures every day breaks my heart. This video hit home perfectly.

  • Keep your head up, stay strong! You did nothing wrong, and you are blessed to have such a wonderful gift. My son is almost 6yrs. with autism, everyday I thank the Lord for him, there's an innocence about him, dispite the challenges, that is incomprensible. In fact my username, comes from him, this is the way he insists his name is spelled, he has actually been an inspiration to myself. I know the first while after diagnosis is difficult, Stay strong, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers!

  • WOW makes me cry each time. Thanks for making such a great song. God bless you and bless all the other families touched by autism. As for me PROUD mother of a fantastic 7year old daughter with autism :)

  • My name is Michael. Im 25years old. When I was a teenager I remember specialists telling my parents and I that I may have a condition called Autism or Aspergers. It has not been until the last few years that I understand it more. I have not been diagnosed but through my own research I know this is what I have. I saw this song on a facebook group and have watched it three times now and cried more everytime. Thanks Mark, you are an angel from heaven.

  • Thanks so much for your video Mark. The first time I watched your video I really lost it! I saw my little guy Landon on the video. It was such a wonderful surprise! I think I used a whole box of Kleenexes. Thanks for all you've done to increase awareness.

  • THANK YOU

  • My brother was diagnosed with autism when he started preschool. For everybody out there whoknows that there's something a little 'off' about your child, if somebody says that you're imagining it, you're probably not. It took my mom three tries to get him diagnosed. It's always better to know.

Autism has caused many tears from my family. I remember the day we got the news back; I was young and didn't understand everything, but my mom spent the entire day crying. She never cries.

  • Thank you for this video; I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter with autism; she is a very happy, sweet girl; I just wish she could talk to us.

  • This song brought tears to my eyes. My daughter was diagnosed with mild autism this past spring.

  • Bravo to you, Mark for making this video and recording a song, not because it will be the most popular and make you millions of dollars but because this subject is near and dear to your heart. • God bless lets help them kid with special needs AMEN

  • My daughter is still undiagnosed, yet her doctor did say she has autism along with whatever syndrome she has. This song brought tears to my eyes. I am trying to open a facility for those with special needs. It's a struggle but we are not giving up. I am still trying to find someone to sing an original theme song for all children with special needs using the company name. Hopefully, we can make this known to all that we are not "different" we are "special". Annie Dunn

  • I hope he knows its the vaccines....Chelate!

  • Mark,

thank you for this beautiful song and video. I am not a person easily moved to tears, but since I had my kiddos 9especially my oldest with autism) my sensitivity to moving pieces has burst through with everythign I do.
