Thats weird. I just installed my volant intake and it doesnt sound like yours. Yours sounds really really shitty. I dont know if it is a new design or what but of all the ones that people have installed recently they are mentioning that yours is the only one that sounds terrible.
You should check your setup. Did you pull the flap back from the radiator? This video made me not buy the volant for months, until one day I got bored and bought it assuming I would sell it if it sounded terrible.
I just put this same kit on my CTS. I was wondering what you did about the breather hose? I don't know if I should take the hose off and plug the hole or if its supposed to connect to something. Thanks man
@mr010tommy010 They have dyno comparisons on cadillacforums in regards to this. The 3.6 benefits from a volant intake above all others (including K&N)
