  • ESTA SUPER BUENO PARA LA COLUMNA.

  • Linda capoeira Angoleira do grande mestre Pastinha....

  • beautiful!

  • These guys have great style!

  • Mestre Jose Antonio e o pai do mestre Poncianinho? O louco muito da hora esse jogo... mas quem treinou o mestre Poncianinho, o pai dele ou mestre Suassuna? Poncianinho e cordao de ouro ne? de que grupo e o mestre Jose Antonio?

  • bom axe !!!

  • Father and Son Game?!! Great to see!

  • nice performance!

  • A beautiful game, the intrigue and the thought that goes into an Angola game always astounds me. Capoeira Angola uses skill and agility to manoeuvre and trick your opponent into falling into a trap, tripping up or being taken down by (potentially) fatal strike. This kind of integrity is lost in the flashy egocentric showmanship of Regional.

  • That's nice, but Mestre Poncianinho is from CDO, who last time I checked weren't Angola. He uses his skill and agility to the same effect there too, and you won't find an egocentric bone in his body.

    Integration not segregation!

  • Muuuuito Bom !!!!!

  • Was this at Mestre Poncianinho 25th celebration?

  • Pai e filho, nota dez.... abraços.... para todos que lembram da Cordão de Ouro de Guaratinguietá.... ass.: Carne-seca.

  • irado!

  • Truth is, if people keep wanting to mix different styles of fighting eventually the original styles might just perish with time, and there might not be an original capoeira anymore or something of the sort. I would recommend people to not mix different styles of martial arts in order to prevent that.

  • amaizin jogo between mestres

  • Octobox are you just going to combine these martial arts with capoeira and make a new martial art? each one of this arts is special and while it was in making progress it wasn´t meant to be combined with other sports..muay thai was made hundreds of years ago while thailand was in war against burma. capoeira was made by enslaved african ppl so they could defend from any attackers..for ju jitsu i dont know but i do know that these sports are separate and that is the way that they should stay..

  • Now THAT is fun play. Some of the best stuff in Capoeira. I like the silly and easy flow a Jinga can sometimes take.

  • are you mestre ponciano student?

if that so then you're a very lucky one,hehe..i really wish i was there and also enjoying such a beautiful game,.

btw do u know the lyrics of the song in this game,.i really like it,.hope u or anybody can submit me the lyric, thx,.

  • I hear a lot about people blending martial arts to make there own style of capoeira, but the fundamentals of different martial arts are range and blindly going and making your own martial arts system without considering the different techniques that go in to them will not help in a real life situation. Capoeira is a very capable martial art and has holds, takedowns strikes and evades that can be used effectively and accordingly.

  • a ilike poncianinho:)

  • two geniuses.... :)

  • CApoeira is capoeira. Muay Thai is Muay Thai. Both styles are great. I dont really understand why do we always have to argue about fighting styles? They are all equal. It doesnt matter which you choose... What does mater is how you use them.

  • @cabelinho89 i totally agree with you.

  • jujitsu combined with plumbing-eblow-knees from Muay Thai is all you need to add on to your capoeira. Capoeira provides health, speed, fluidity, power, and timing. However, you do need some practical add-ons.

  • I do all three, capoeria angola, ju jitsu and muay thai. the more I learn about capoeria the more I learn that these muay thai moves are also part of capoeria, just trained in a different way. in capoeria, you try not to clinch because you must assume the other has a blade. so muay thai in a way doesnt prepare you or the real world like capoeria does. capoeria also has throws that I have seen but do not yet know that would be equal in stopping power to something like an arm bar.

  • Actually, old style capoeria was done with weapons and some down and dirty fighting moves. Like rexirae2074 says, you always had to assume your opponent had a straight razor or something up his sleeve. Probably becaue you had one too in the street. Since I have done boxing, Muay Thai and Capoeira for my part, I can say all these styles we discuss here have serious merit if you are trained well.

  • This is Capoeira in practice. It is a game. If you were to fight a Capoeirista on the street he/she is not going to jump into the ginga and start playing around with you. Don't comment on stuff you know nothing about.

  • Did pretty well for all those Grupo Axe cats rippin cats' heads' off in mma. =]!

  • muito bonito

  • Olá vídeo muito legal! A capoeira precisa de mestres assim que resgatem a capoeira raiz. Salve todos os mestres e fiquem com Deus.Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Capoeira jurou Bandeira...

  • oh so now you only become a capoeira when u dress ur outfit? like superman or something?

    cmon guys!

  • show os dois

    e sao da minha cidade

    uahuahuahuah

  • q porra

  • wow this is so beautiful...

  • Esse Ponciano Almeida ateh participou do filme Harry Potter...

  • god damn...

  • What a beautiful video!!!

    Axé

  • beleza ! :) CdO ;)

  • capoeira mestres don t nidd clothes to play capoeira ?stupidd..

  • FoFin -> This is real capoeira clothing...

  • FoFin -> Every kind of clothing is capoeira clothing and every piece of the ground is the roda...

  • Where's the capoeira clothes?

  • angoleros dont need cuniforms we play in whatevea!

  • you are retarded. go find some glue to sniff.

  • Yea right. Not my fault the masters of the art doesn't wear an abada and make it look ugly. And retarded is mrs your mom, bitch.

  • FoFin I'm sorry, but you know nothing of capoeira. But if you're really interested, practice it a couple of years at least... MAYBE you would understand it a little bit. (don't feel bad, even mestres are still understanding and learning more everyday)

  • Nice try, but I play capoeira since I was 14. Means 10 years already. I know a lot about capoeira and it's not even necessary to be this old to tell I know a lot more than you.

  • then try to understand the video with the things you understand about capoeira. Enjoy the jogo since I know you can appreciate it

  • Sorry if I was impolite. I just noticed the offencive guy of the first post was not you. This discussion won't take us anywhere anyways.

  • I wanted to share one last opinion. 10 years is a lot of capoeira, and I'm sure you understand more than I do, but MY opinion is that "capoeira é no pau, no pé e na mão, na ponta da faca é no facão". Capoeira is in everything, in the abada and the regular clothes, in the roda and outside the roda. There's a difference between representative symbols of capoeira and its true essence: axé.

  • Very well said. The video just seems weird to me because there are angola groups in my city and they all wear an abada just like my group and all other groups... Abadá, Candeias, Cordão de Ouro, África Brasil Capoeira, Dendê(mine)wish is formed from a split group from the Candeias group, Nago, etc...

  • Joga bonito, que eu quero aprender !

  • L-I-N-D-O ese jogo!

    Muito respeito para eles!

    axé

  • cordao de ouro rule! big up the nottingham group!
