I don't really think this video had a very strong point, but i do think that it matters that her daughter was pregnant. i know it was her daughter's decision, and palin probably didn't have a say in the matter, but i think it's wrong for her to want to take away sex ed when this happened right in her own home. it just proves that a good parental influence can't stop everything. it would help to have people educated on what they are doing because not all parents will have as good an influence.

Yes, in my religion I believe a life has been created at conception and no one should have the right to take that life. I feel the baby should have a right to live. I do feel sorry for a mother that has been raped, but this is a very small percentage of women obtaining abortions. The majority of people having abortions is due to inconvenience. In this case, a women did have a choice. She chose to lie down. I don't think she should then have another choice to take a life.

I don't really think this video had a very strong point, but i do think that it matters that her daughter was pregnant. i know it was her daughter's decision, and palin probably didn't have a say in the matter, but i think it's wrong for her to want to take away sex ed when this happened right in her own home. it just proves that a good parental influence can't stop everything. it would help to have people educated on what they are doing because not all parents will have as good an influence.

If you are stating being Pro-Life is solely a religious issue than being Pro-Choice is likewise a religious issue, so this is why it is POLITICAL. We are just seeking equal liberties to everyone... Something I think you should respect. We just have a difference of opinion as to when we feel someone is entitled to them.

Yes, in my religion I believe a life has been created at conception and no one should have the right to take that life. I feel the baby should have a right to live. I do feel sorry for a mother that has been raped, but this is a very small percentage of women obtaining abortions. The majority of people having abortions is due to inconvenience. In this case, a women did have a choice. She chose to lie down. I don't think she should then have another choice to take a life.

see you are bringing religion into it! That is my point. Maybe if insurance covered birth control maybe more women would take it. What if getting pregnant could kill the woman? Does that mean she can never have sex and never please her husband? Alot of times condoms and birth control dont work. But I dont approve of women waiting until the third trimester then going oh I dont want it anymore...thats bullshit.There should be a time limit on it. Like the first 4 weeks or so. I'm 50/50 on abortion

I feel based on the Declaration of Independence it is necessary to keep this a political issue. I respect that you do not agree with late term abortions. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are CREATED equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. This is why it is a political issue. I am happy to hear you aren't 100% for. I hope maybe you will be 100% against one day. :)

Are you for gay rights? Because if you are then you practice what you preach. EQUAL rights. I guess it just depends on the situation for abortion. If the mother and baby are in peril and are going to die then yea abortion might be necessary. But doing it because oops I got caught up in the moment and now my boyfriend left me so I dont want it anymore then yea thats ridiculous there were ways to prevent that. Because you're right it was a choice the woman made.

The baby has a right to life. It is not your decision to make. How disabled is to disabled? I know many disabled people that are very happy to be alive and very good contributing members to our society. What if your family was in an accident and someone became disabled should you KILL them?

If Sarah Palin was just a "hockey mom" running 4 the PTA I'd agree that her 17 year old being pregnant & having the baby may not be as big a deal. BUT when you are running for VP of the United States & you say you want to teach abstinence to all the other American children I think you have to lead by example, starting with your own family. How can she assist in governing our nation and have one set of rules for her family and another set for the rest of the country. Not a slam, just a thought.

If your parents were worthy of being parents, then I suspect they probably gave it their all to guide you along the way to adulthood. Have you ever had any friends, family or aquaintances that have ever been pregnant at a young age. Did you think right away, "Gee, their parents totally screwed up because teens always listen to every bit of what their parents' tell them and warn them of."? Bet not.

Ok, then explain the process of enforcement upon a 17 year old. At that age you cannot control their every move nor hold them back from living their own life to some extent. Also, as an elected official, how would that be indicative of enforcement upon others in the world. Just because someone in her own family has made a mistake, just like every other family in the world makes mistakes of some sort, doesn't mean that she has to stop expressing and promoting what she believes is right.

Another thought, why couldn't she promote that with great effectiveness? Look at how many spokespeople are out there that were once drug addicts. They lived the life of drugs, sex, alcohol, violence etc, and now they speak to others and tell their stories of the adverse times in their lives & try to deliver messages to show young people the consequences of the choices they make in life. Theses type of people tend to inspire and/or make a difference in some lives. Where's the diff?

I know a 19 yr old girl that has been raised right by her wonderful parents and is by no means doing the right thing right now, and they're hurting badly. If they were bad parents, they wouldn't have success with their other two children by your theory..hmmm. And what on earth would the daughter's marriage have to do with Palin's leadership?

I do know young people that got pregnant in their teens and they had horrible parents. Not saying that Sarah Palin is a horrible parent, but if she's going to preach abstinence to all the kids of the USA and her own kid can't even follow it, what kind of a leader can she be?

I agree that creationism can be taught in schools, however NOT next to evolution. perhaps in a religious study class or something like that but evolution is based on science... it belongs in a science class. Also, if intellignet desing is taught, they should include all other religious beliefs, which she hasn't said a thing about.
Perhaps her daughter's pregnancy is not her fault, but then she can't preach to other parents and shoud NOT take away sex ed. clearly it is needed.
