Thanks for your comment! For "Coral Sunset," I use an eleven-string alto guitar. Harp guitars have have as many as twenty. For most of us, it is a desire to increase the range of the instrument and to expand it's repertoire. -jf
Yes, Philippe is from southern France. He is currently living in Texas. He performs a great deal of Brazilian music using French language in place of Portuguese. He is also an award winning classical guitarist/composer.
This tune was written for Philippe after we presented him the first time in concert. I could hear these French lyrics sang in his unique style, not being able to understand these words, I thought I was writing a romantic love song. Later, I found out that I was actualling writing about coffee and milk. :-) Thanks for the inspiration, pal! The studio album will be released soon.
