i seriously want to make a high heel for my mother or sister. i have no clue why. for some reason i love the curves and lining on heels. also if i ever made one i want it comftorable and very good looking! like guess heels or brands like that. don't ask me how i know this stuff lol...i'm into shoes for some reason! but i wish wish wish someone taught me how to make heels or shoes!
Super fantastic work. I have a wide foot. Is it possible to make a shoe for me that doesn't squeeze my feet? How much do you charge for the shoes in this video?
This video is nicely detailed. Do you think you could plop in some pop up balloons to tell us what's going on and what materials are being used? Thanks!
I'm making a pair of boots for my character Lightning from Final fantasy 13; although this isn't the same as hers' this really helped me out so thank you very much xx
Hi Marcell i have been making shoes for 30 years for different companies i make my shoes the same way you make shoes all my shoes are hand welted and sole stitched i have now started working for my self and need to get my name out there could you give me some advise please visit my website tslingerfootwearltd.co.uk thank you Tony
These shoes are superb! They would look good on a banker , corporate lawyer or a judge.
The problem with industrially made shoes is they usually are too narrow. I'm a tall woman. I used to wear fahion shoes and accept the discomfort or even pain for the sake of trendiness but now being middle age I no longer accept to suffer.
I wish I had shoes custom made to fit my width. *sigh*!
I had no idea how much skill, time and patience was involved. I would gladly pay a lot of money now for these type of shoes knowing how much of the above goes into making them. Real respect!
To see me live, and to experience what it feels like to be a shoemaker, come to my hands-on course in New York in November, or be an apprentice in my workshop for a month in Budapest, Hungary.
This guy is a master shoemaker from Hungary. I have taken a class with him & am going to take more. What he teaches is a dying art. If you learn from him you will learn the RIGHT WAY. And you will not ever want to buy factory made shoes ever again!
That was an amazing process to watch. Where do you get your findings? I've gotten a book on shoe making and I'm hoping to try my hand at making a pair this summer.
Great Video! I am amazed with the amount of handwork involved. How many shoes has this guy made in his lifetime? Thank you for making and posting this video.
Ok, but my idea would be learn the basics, and leave it to the masters to actually make the shoe. You know learn the leather types, pattern making and what not. Once i know that i can bring it to an Master and have them actually craft the shoe the way i want. Does that sound like a good idea?
To tell the truth, it sounds like a very complicated way of work. :) You want to be a designer? That is a good idea. A shoemaker without the technical background of making shoe? hmm... You will have to face a lot of problems..
If you have ideas in shoe design I can help you making the prototypes..
Do you beileve in going to school to learn to make shoes. I hear that shoemaking can't be taught in a school, but its hand down from generation,to generation. What do you think, did someone pass down the craft or did you attend a school?
It has some sense, but you can (and have to) learn the basics in school. On the other hand - after the school you have the perfect your knowledge from other masters, from experience, and any other way you find..
I am afraid, these shoes are much more expensive, than the machine-made ones. On the other hand: if compare the effort the shoemaker puts in: very cheap.
I have been told, that a skilled Shoemaker could produce a Shoe every 8 hours. Does that sound reasonable?
