The music actually fits well with the ST opening. However, instead of the K-7 Space crash edit, I would have shown clips of Enterprise dealing with a near collision with a space phenomenom of some kind. I'm sure theres one somewhere in the 'remasters'. Or use even an aproaching energy blast sped up to appear like a flash of 'time-travel' warpage. Also, why did You show Balok's ship closing in at the end? Just my opinion. Otherwise, you really did great.
Thanks, and yup, it was in the works, and we lost one of our main drives, and I just never got back around to recreating it, maybe after this last episode of Trek Through Time is done I'll go back to it.
Very well done ! I agree with previous posters that they should have done an updated intro, such as this, in the later seasons of the show. The single character shots of the actors with their names was a particularly well thought out presentation.
To laugh at this video was not logical, but I did it anyway, because I was just old enough to start watching "Space: 1999" when it first came on, on New York's Channel 9, and if memory serves me correctly it was at 5:00 on Saturdays, right before the original "Star Trek" aired at 6:00 on Channel 11. This combo was... Fascinating!
Agreed; always been a fan of Star Trek, and same with Space 1999! God, I've rarely even THOUGHT about Space 1999 in the longest time! "John, it could save him, or it could kill him." VERY nice job on this, Kelvington! (Oh, I MUST watch that show again, somehow!)
I agree, excellent job on the video. FYI-You can watch every episode of both series for free at:
SurfTheChannel(.)com
Warning (Will Robinson)! Space 1999 doesn't hold up very well, even if you ignore the way the moon went to warp speed and then slowed down for an hour every Saturday evening.
Very clever. As a fan of both Star Trek: TOS (especially the remastered version) and Space: 1999, I'm amazed at your technical ability and editing skills.
have you ever got together with mates and thrown yourselves around a room crashing into furniture pretending your're on a very wobbly Enterprise?- no?, just me? (nevermind)
Ok some more good ideas how about for all the other star trek shows/ original Battlestar galatica and buck rogers (use the vampire episode). Good job Kelvington!!!!!!!!
This video is , even thou im 19 , ive grown up with these shows since age 4 , along with many other Gerry Anderson and Gene Roddenbury shows , even thou im a loyal DOCTOR WHO fan since age 4 , this combination is brilliant , thou the bits at the end of the video shouldint really be there at all , im going to show my dad when he gets home , including a couple of mates !
Wrong font, the correct font is Futura. You car really tell in the "a". The K-7 station ruined it, made it look like a joke. (which is probably what you meant to do). A for effort, D on accuracy.
OMG, that was a scream. Thanks for warping my brain with this man! Only thing is instead of Space Station K-7 crashing into the Enterprise, it should have been a spinning shuttlecraft (or a Space 1999 Eagle) to make it perfect. :D
omg Kelvington you FUCKING NAILED IT! THAT WAS AWESOME! Funny and cool as fucking hell!

Wait, I just saw the Side-by-side comparison. I get it, but the the Fasarius shot still dosen't work. The actual work you did was primo!

Thanks, I try hard to make very exacting parodies of things. It's tough to get things just right, and I appreciate it when people notice it.

Notice the plane sent to intercept the Enterprise? It was called the F-104 Starfighter. Appropriate,no?

Star Trek Space 1969-that was clever but shouldn't it be title Star Trek Space 2269 or something ?
mavericstud9 3 years ago
Since the episode takes place in 1969, I set the video in 1969. I've updated the video to use the proper Futura font, it's on my page.
