@dreneec012 don't be afraid- you can transition and just keep your relaxed ends for a while (it's a little harder than big chopping) or you can big chop :) you can do it! good luck.

@XxmemjayxX Just go ahead and big chop. Im also 15 and i BC'd in september2011, it was the best thing i could have done for my hair. Its been 5 months and i have 3 - 3.5 inches of healthy natural hair. Dont worry about what people may say or think, its YOUR hair and im sure u will rock it well whether its long, short, natural or relaxed. :D

This style is cool. It really does give the illusion of a fishtail braid...currently the only style that intimidates me to do!

@2075vj... I transitioned for 16 months with tree braids. I got them redone every 7 to 8 weeks, making sure I deep conditioned and trimmed a little off when my hair was down. I just had my cut yesterday, and I had about 7 inches of natural hair.
