There is a program you get get to connect your PSP to the internet through your PC. At the moment the PSP only interacts with people 30 feet away. I don't know what the program is called, but if you have a PS3 there is a similar thing called the Ad Hoc party.

Uh huh. I'm assuming you are talking about MHF2, which happens to be the easiest MH game ever made. I'm HR 6 with MHF2, and its common knowledge I too got there solo since I don't have wifi-max or xlink. This was MH1.

There are many small differences between freedom and the ps2 monster hunter,my friend has the ps2 game and i have the psp game,freedom is better because the controls are better and many little things are missing from the ps2 game such as in the ps2 game when you are buying armour/weapons you have to bring the materials to the shop but in freedom you dont.
