you need to update your video BIG TIME. many of the steps dont apply anymore and in fact, if someone watches your video, it will actually cause more harm than good. I understand at one point this video was effective, but if your watching this and havent gone through the steps yet....dont

I am curious why did you need to install virtualbox. I did not see a virtual machine run in this video. Is it required for the SDK install ?

@Oricaousa Type "palm pre mobile hotspot hack" on google, u should find how to install verizon mobile hotspot on your Palm Pre, much simpler and works well!

I have watched your video and I already followed all of the steps. I did successfully get my Palm Pre (OS 1.4.1.) to provides internet when I use a USB cable, but not as Wi-Fi. Any suggestions/advice on what to do to get my Palm Pre to work as a Wi-Fi Router? I watched your video a few more times to make sure I did not miss any steps and I did every step correctly, but I just don't know why it does not provide wireless internet?

@abran323 this makes your plam pre broadcast its own fiwi signal, which you can pick up on and use internet everywhere. There is a 40 dollar charge per month with this hack you pay nothing

The verizon version has a donwloadable app to make the fone a wifi hotspot. no need to do this .

yeah wifi is not free on 1.2.1, thats y i stayed on os 1.1! da only downfall is i cant install virtual keyboard. atleast 4 now lol

i am having the same issue as markinsonu.

i have version 1.2.0 of the webOS and have followed your exact instructions. I even restarted the phone and everything. I get the exact same problem as markinsonu even though the tether on my phone works, when i search for networks it doesn't find the network my phone puts out (AoNet). I am not connected to wifi on my phone (personal network) but enabled wifi tethering and DHCP...any ideas????

I have done all of the downloads with the exception to putting novaterm in the SKD folder. IT would not let me. When I put in the first command, I could not get into the SKD directory please help
