  • Raichlen is fantastic. I've been videoing the results of a lot of his recipes on my channel. So far, I think the best was the cuban pulled pork. Yum!

  • Yep he changed my life!

  • He needs to quit with the cilantro-trill. Coriander (cilantro) native to SW Asia and N Africa. It's not a faux-Spanish word.

I love SR and his stuff but where does he come up with random accents? CNN?

  • dumping all that oil and hot peppers on them ruined the steaks

  • Never heard of him.. But ya cant go wrong with a good ol aussie weber BBQ..

  • cavemen didnt have cast iron skillets either

  • Yikes, this guy calls that a SAUCE? He just ruined 3 nice steaks!

  • you people cant really think he is good!!! THAT is not sauce! its a recipe to be in the bathroom for the rest of the day.. POKE TEST.. cave man, what!!!! All this will do is give you cancer, diarrhea, and made fun of.

  • Okay excuse my question maybe it's stupid but I am a blonde... can you eat something that has been cooked on charcoal? o.0

  • @925Kirsty

use the right charcoal and use. don't use those kingsford things. he is using lump charcoal which burns pure and leaves almost no ash. I did this very same cook (without the sauce) and the steaks were amazing.

  • I like the imagination, but you just screwed up 3 beautiful steaks

  • With that much salt I am surprised he does not have high blood pressure.

  • @mannhorn34 forget the salt imagine how much meat this dude eats lol

  • Tried it after watching him do it on Primal Grill, and it was awesome. I purchased the Weber Ranch grill (freaking huge), and cooking 10 steaks this way and made his "firestation corn on the cob". It was a big hit with all those who were there, amazing crust on the steak with a juicy medium rare center. I usually sear my steaks but I definately will do this again

  • This is interesting. We had to get rid of our dish network because of rising prices and now I miss the cooking channels...

  • Love his show's; Primal Grill and BBQ University

  • Look, Steven Raichlens food is not what you would call Kosher. He cooks pork and shell fish. He also puts milk products on/in his meat products.

Also, do not tell Steven how to grill.

  • Just finished making this. The hellfire hot sauce is amazing.

  • Looks cool but, the Hellfire sauce is gonna destroy the flavor of the meat!

  • NO NO NO, dont grill a T bone like that!! you are killing the flavor MAN!. If you really want to go cave man style, go out and grill road kill llike THAT open flame meat over burning kill. Like that, I would not mind the taste of burned coals over road kill, like the cave man probable grilled their kill they found almost rotting from a previous predator that ate that kill. Nasty grilling.

  • Lol He looks like a younger Steven Spielberg with the glasses and hair.

  • looks like cancer to me

  • And who said a Jew can`t grill!

  • Having made similar comments on other of Mr. Raichlens, you seem to be obsessed with his religion/ethnicity. Stay classy.

  • I am a Jew myself and have always love Steve Raichlens grilling after all he is the Professor of grilling.

  • It all makes sense now. ;)

  • did they have a brush in caveman days? that's ok, Steven. You are the best

  • I have NEVER seen this guy make anything that didn't make my mouth profusely water.

I guess he made some vegetarian stuff once that wasn't quite as good, but I don't think grills are made for vegetarian foods.

  • WOW... that smells so good...MMMmmmm..!

  • Running to carcer...

Always the best... but not this way...

  • hes the king

  • Tratto dalla serie: mille modi per farsi venire il cancro allo stomaco. Pazzo!!!

  • Did Caveman ribeyes for Independence Day...brilliant! Tasted awesome, and excellent cool factor.

I am, once again, my wife's hero, thanks to Steven. You are the man!

  • Sorry, Steve. Although this is a great idea, this has been around for quite a while. I collect cookbooks and just happened to pick up a 1959 version of BH&G Barbeque Book.. Page 35, Steak on the Rocks. Season with salt and pepper, cook T-Bones right on hot coals.

Actually like the BH&G name better than caveman t-bone.

  • @thefensk

he said the idea has been around since cave people. So its older than your 1959 version. Hence the term caveman.

  • Steve is the man. His books taught me how to smoke BBQ and how to grill properly. I now have both a gas grill and a charcoal grill. Life cannot be better than to grill with Steve's recipes.

  • Steven is the man. He's the reason I started to take grilling and BBQ seriously.

  • I second that as well. I started using charcoal because of him!

  • Oui moi aussi j'ai commencé à utiliser les briquette de charbon a cause de lui! Mon dieu que ces bon...!

  • Great recipe! love steven!
