How does frank not see through the interaction between Olivia and Natalia once they find out about rafe? He must be a very diluted man to not see what's right in front of him.
Is this a how did the chicken cross the road kind of thing? How did the parole board know Rafe was going to be attending a family event when Nat hadn't agreed to moving the wedding up, secondly how did they find out there wasn't a wedding? I'm sure they talked it and Rafe agreed to ask, inorder for him to come home early his mom had to set a day for this week, got it. I think Frankie enjoyed his time alone with Nat and he knew that was the only way he would get more have her become Mrs Frank

As I understand Rafe got the permission from higher up (not from Frank) that he could stay because of the event and now that there is no event he has to leave. It's like getting free at work to attend a wedding and if there's no wedding you can go back to work.
It's quite logical really, but I don't want to disturb your hatred.
However, given the current situation, a cell phone call would have been more appropriate. Also, telling her that it was basically her fault that he was going early because she didn't marry him was very passive-aggressive.
I don't really feel sorry for Frank because he is so clueless, but Natalia DID say that she would marry him so it makes sense that he would believe that she loves him even though it's pretty obvious she doesn't - and yes, his behavior is passive agressive but perhaps understandable - still I kind of wish he would GO AWAY LOL!!
