wow I can't believe anyone would waste their time and energy buying tickets to see this garbage at the MOMA. Save your money and see skrillex when he comes to nyc, and hear what REAL electronic music should sound like!
Discovered this song while watching "Into Eternity (Nuclear Waste) on youtube here. I highly suggest that you check out the documentary if you are in any way interested in radioactivity and nuclear power and what must be done to attempt to get rid of the nuclear waste.
@garethella As far as I know, our spent nuclear fuel is stored in Interim Storage in spent fuel pools aboveground, then put into dry casks... still stored above ground. I have not heard of any permanent plans for the disposal of our waste.
The background "chorus" is so hypnotic that sometimes I play it for an hour, over and over. One starry night I played it while looking out a window at high-tension electrical towers, imagining that the towers had a weird kind of "awareness" or "intelligence" beyond human grasp as they sang a cosmic symphony. "Tune into the melody..."
@quatloosthx1138 your tuned in.i have virtually worn out my USA LP and am now using my Import virgin vinyl copy.i can't get enough Kraftwerk.i have most of their LP's.Autobahn rules too.
I thought I didn't like music that much until I heard this for the very first time when I was 10/11 years old. That was in the 70's and changed my perception of music.
well at least I can speak my own native tongue properly!
What sort of English is "never said i wasn't did i"? And I wasn't being a "sarky twat", I was stating a fact! The sound is listed as Geiger Counter on the album. End of.
@DarylJCheetham He didn't reply with a sarky tone he was simply telling you it sounded like a geiger counter because it had a geiger counter on the album.
Curie's work was with Radium, not Uranium. She isolated the metal for the first time, tracking the Ra from the rest via it's radioactive output. She was also a woman, and Polish and wasn't accepted by the French institute directly, but only via Pierre's being French. He was a good guy who maintained that she got credit for the work, though they wanted ot attach it to him because he was male!
Marie Curie (1868- 1934) learned of Henri Becquerel's experiments with the mysterious Uranium crystals and the energies emanating from them. She later discovered the nature of radioactivity and soon completed her thesis. However, not knowing well enought about radiation, both Marie and husband Pierre Curie died from prolonged exposure after numerous attempts to purify Uranium.
@alwerks1 Your grasp of history has failed you. Pierre Curie was killed after being run over by a horse-drawn carriage. It is true that Marie Curie was almost certainly killed by over exposure to radiation, but it's incredible that she managed to live to age 66 with decades of direct exposure to radiation.
@alwerks1 both Marie and husband Pierre Curie died from prolonged exposure after numerous attempts to purify Uranium.= That's is wrong !! You've to read a dictionary
@alwerks1 I hate to rain on your parade but pierre curie died from being ran over by a horse in paris. a while before marie curie isolated radium and polonium from the uranium ore they worked on.Marie did died as an old woman (well old for that era) of leukemia and she also had severe cataracts as a result of handling radioactive isotopes.

No. Kraftwerk is way better than dubstep.

@themusicgamer14 if it were not for Kraftwerk, there would be no dubstyle, hardstyle, dubstep, drum & bass, or even techno as we know it
