hey, wouldn't it be plausible that 1-3 jets were scrambled and went supersonic (broke sound barrier) at the same time, to chase-down and sight the UFOs?? UFOs would have probably lit-up the air base radars like Christmas trees as it flew by :-) All the 911 calls might have made it to the Air base and got the guys excited to have a look upstairs at what was going on, I'll be this is what happenned that night

I want to ad to cr3ativity and khaosshuffa discussion that groundlevel decibels were of an F16. They mention that the volume and pressure wave could be calculated. But I figured that higher in the sky the sound of the sonic boom would be lesser loud. i think they could do a better test.

ok well i lived in logansport indiana when this happend and was sitting by my front window when the bang accured. i felt the force of it on my face more than anything. but yea... dont know what to belive but tell me this ...... if a pilot cant fly below a certain level then.......who got in trouble for doing it?

We were at 600 E in kokomo and seen the same string of lights they shown at the beginning of this show in AZ in the summer of 2007. Me and 4 others seen a string of lights sitting stationary in the air and then they disappeared. Can't remember what color but my wife said they were kinda pinkish although it was towards sunset. Nothing like we had ever seen b4 tho. Did anyone else see this? It was in the summer of 07 on the eastern country part of Kokomo, not far from the boom/

I was in Kokomo at the time this happened and was probably about 10-14 miles from where it took place and we didnt hear anything, but I have a buddy who seen the lights and before he seen this happen he believed in nothing supernatural such as U.F.O's and things like that. After he witnessed seeing the lights and the boom, he believes now. If it could make a believer outta this guy, it has to be real.

I live 3 miles from where the supposed site of the explosion and slept right through it :), now I'm a heavy sleeper but if the blast was as loud as they claim you would think I would have woken up....?

Wait a second. If the sonic blaster did not match the strength of the blast at 137 decibels, but was able to crack a window then I know their witnesses are exaggerating what happened that day. If the blast was indeed stronger, the windows would not only crack but also shatter. The female witness who was near the area of the blast and who also took photographic evidence the next day claimed her house to shake vigorously. No cracked or shattered windows. Somehow, it does not add up...

it does "add" up. the window cracked because the "sonic boom" was at ground level(REAL sb's take place thousands of feet ABOVE ground level) so the simulation was inacurate. The sound took place in the sky and was still able to shake ppl's houses, so it must've been stronger than the average "sonic boom".

I understand exactly what you are saying. It definitely was not a plane/jet breaking the sound barrier. It just does not make any sense that a blast covering a radius of 20 miles would not damage homes nearby. Unless, the witnesses did have broken windows and did not mention that during their interview.

You separate them, and get their individual stories without talking to the other people. It's a well-documented fact that witnesses in groups taint each other. They should have separated the people to better control opinions.

They let you, the viewer, decide. They give you all this data and put it before you to let you form your own theory. Because if they gave a straight answer, then that leaves the possiblity for someone to tell them they were wrong.

I'm with you on this one, I think this particular case is very likely to be some planes. I'm surprised the team didn't ask that family _how_ it sounded different, that would be helpful information. Of course Bill was running out saying he got 5 definites when half of them where kids following what their folks said, and some of the answers _where_ a little deliberated! Pathetic evidence of UFO's in this one , I think the research could have been better though!

as someone mentioned, it makes no sense for a fighter jet to drop flares at the same time as travel faster than the speed of sound.

I don't think air-to-air missiles are even capable of breaking the sound barrier. They're designed for maneuverability in a dogfight, not super high speed.

Could it that the f-16 breaking the sound barrier was chasing something? ufo's fly fast, the f-16 pilot had to go supersonic to keep up. What im wondering is, dont planes flying low to the gound, that do go supersonic, leave a sonic footprint on the ground? Im sure that boy did see something, but the ufo flew away when the f-16 came close. and the flares were missles from the f-16 engaging the ufo. Interesting stuff
