The assumption that execution is punishment is rooted in the false belief that there is a hell. Honestly, such assumption is erroneous. Keep criminals alive and force them to work repaying society for their deeds for free and from behind bars. No work, no food. Doing so, and limiting their access to all but a few of the rewards freedom affords is perhaps the best punishment; it also gives the criminal a sense of purpose in his existence.

Astounding the way the media makes people feel that a criminal has no remorse. The crime committed was horrendous and tragic, but lethal injection is a one time thing and the criminal is not given the time to reflect on his action. Best to make those kids work forever behind bars and donate their services to society. The technology for this kind of punishment already exists. Executing a criminal is like forcing a person who has committed a crime into perceptual sleep.

this is sad, I don't think this "little boy" really understood the true ramifications of what could and did happen. Sorry but 19 yrs old is not a man. He caused tremendous pain and suffering but the concept and reasoning in this kids head was that of to many now, careless disregard and it and invincibility. Oh there not going to do much to me, i'll be out doing the same again in 20 30 yrs. Well another wasted kid dead.

This boy should be forced into some form of long term rehabilitation, where in the process he is also guided into achieving a predetermined educational objective, or else.... He should be sentenced to many years in prison and from there required to work, and to pay money perceptually to those he made suffer, and also for his prison costs. Executing him is more barbaric than his crime and it does not help our society or the victims.
