Great movie. The moral of the story and connection with the fish is that if they were in a nicer place, they wouldn't want to fight. They live in rough neighborhoods, you have to fight to survive. You have to join gangs for protection. He wants his lil brother Rusty to get out so he doesn't have to fight anymore. He wants the same for the fish. It's actually deep if you think about it.
