  • I have to say I like this version a little bit better than when Girls Aloud did it, but it still doesn't compare to the original by Wizzard.

  • Carnie looks great!

  • @SnugglySara She sure does!

  • Lame You Tube comments , advertising , and VEVO don't change the fact that this is very well done and my favorite version of this song .

  • g8

  • Love this Beach Boys type version of a holiday song. Refreshing to hear then that synthesized stuff being played on the radio now ; ) Way to go ladies !!

  • WOW they were still beautiful........... I think true beauty never fails ... hi ha!

  • Wait since when did WP go country?

  • Hey Everyone! My evil twin rdc300 is back at it. I am throwing a "Coming Out" party for him on his channel. Please drop by and join in on the celebrations!!

  • Yay!!! I love Wilson Phillips been a fan since I was a little kid!!!!

  • Love the christmas song but I really hope they will bring us a new album in 2011 :-)

  • Totally loving this song & video! So good to have some new Wilson Phillips music!

  • I enjoyed watching this video & don't understand the big deal about Carnie being featured more than the others. It looks like they showed the 3 together then a single shot of Carnie then Wendy then Chynna. Could it be that it just looked like Carnie was in more because she was in the middle & your eye is drawn to her? Or that the 3 shot was sometimes a 2 shot? Or maybe because she sang lead on this?

Anyway, how cute was it that they used their own 9 kids in this! They'll have this forever!

  • I wonder if the reason Carnie Wilson is so prominently featured in this video, is that she became more famous as a result of her appearance on two CMT reality shows, "Gone Country" and "Outsiders' Inn."

Country music fans are numerous and, I would imagine, very influential. Perhaps Carnie Wilson has an enormous new fan base as a result of her appearances on CMT.

  • Man they have changed so much I barely recognize them. Chynna is on the left right?

  • Too bad The Wilson's Dad (Brian) hasn't covered this song yet, because this song has that "Wall O'Sound" feel...that's what Roy Wood (who wrote the song) intended to do....

  • Holy Crap Vevo! Come in & delete half of these stupid comments. Grow up people. This is a wonderful time for WP & the fans. Don't like them? simple...don't watch their videos! Shannen Doherty was right when she said in a recent interview that most of the comments on here or anywhere are negative so why bother reading them? Congrats WP on this Chtistmas CD & I hope there is more new music in the future! :-)

  • Ok, back to the music... Longtime WP fan here, but I don't find myself liking this song as much as I expected to (or hoped to). To me, it doesn't measure up to anything on "Hey Santa !", still one of the best Christmas albums ever. I know, Chynna was not with them anymore back then, so this is a different project... but I was expecting more than this. It's a pleasant song, nice vocal harmonies... it's just not great. Sorry !

  • 2ronineditor On behalf of every Wilson Phillips fan including myself SHUT THE FUCK UP You're just jealious that you don't look as good as Marilyn Wilson-Rutherford(Carnie and Wendy's still stunningly gorgeous mom)

  • @coolsweetgroovy "SHUT THE FUCK UP"??? Wow, such "tough" Wilson Phillips fans around here, lol. Great debate.

  • @ronineditor If a send you a recent vid of Marilyn will you just admit that you're jealous that don't look just as gorgeous

  • These girls can really sing. They sound just as good as they did when they first came out (gulp) 20 years ago. Damn I feel old. Chynna still has a great voice, Carnie has a very curvy body which I like and Wendy is still my all time favorite member of the group.

  • Good song, hope they comeback again!

Why is Carnie singing lead? Its cool and all, just think they strayed from the formula (Chynna lead with the 2 sisters harmonizing) too much, to be familiar with the fans.

  • nice song and video :)

  • Nice song, but the video is unwatchable. The spastic editing of the video makes it impossible to focus in one any one singer for more than a split second.

  • Let's talk about the elephant in the room... what in the world is up with the 'heavy one' being so prominently featured, like it was in her contract or something to be center stage and hog all of the shots. Really? I remember back in the day when the two hot ones would get all the camera time and now this is like the payback video? The funny thing is that she used to be so preachy about her surgical weight loss... and even that couldn't keep it off.

  • @ronineditor that is just plain mean. "hot" is not defined by size. you should be thinking about their talent. are you a perfect person? concentrate on your own flaws and enjoy the song. elvin bishop is ugly but he sure can play.

  • @eydie57 I mentioned it to the other reply I got but she clearly feels "hot" = skinny, or she wouldn't have had the surgery and went on the talk shows high-fiving herself about how great she looks now and how she didn't like the "heavy her".

Yeah, I have plenty of flaws, as does everyone else, never said I didn't, but if someone puts themselves out there as "look at me" she'd be be ready when people DO look at her. And, in this vid, it's ALL her! Wtf.

  • @ronineditor i am not sure what any of that rambling means. harry truman was right, i guess, if you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance...

  • @eydie57 Oh, by "rambling", you mean a well-thought-out argument that you can't "brilliant" enough to debate so you turn to insults. Gotcha.

Want me to dumb it down for you? When she was "thin" she wanted everyone seeing/hearing her... when she put it back on, her "fans" say don't talk about it. Sorry, doesn't work that way.

  • @ronineditor You are wrong.. period... being opinionated doesn't make you right.... it just makes you obnoxious...which is what you are trying to be anyway... so... mission accomplished... you are obnoxious... move along.....

  • @RobsessedWishes I'm not trying to be obnoxious... I'm trying to have a debate of why she's so prominently featured in this video vs. the other two. Even the parts where she doesn't sing lead, it's all her, I don't get it, especially since she struggles with dancing and, I feel, she's annoying on camera (and off) while the other two are very natural. It just feels like she demanded to be the center of attention on this one, when she never used to be... which is my point.

  • @ronineditor You don't have to get it. It's not her fault she's feature more prominently. She didn't control the camera nor the editing of the MV. Moreover, she never used to be doesn't mean she cannot be.

  • @ronineditor you can't insult & claim it is a debate. I’m quite sure she didn't edit the video, nor did she hang over the shoulder of the editor & say "NO I'M THE STAR PUT ME IN MORE" your argument is a personal attack. What is the point of coming here & writing insulting comments about her personal appearance? She is someone's daughter, sister, wife... This video is entertainment...not a social commentary requiring debate.. your argument is about her personal appearance, not her talent

  • @ronineditor Maybe it's because in their old videos they did the exact opposite. Carnie almost never got any screen time because of her weight. So this is probably their way of saying fuck you to the image obsessed neanderthals out there...

  • @TheBigBlueBox Honestly, being obese isn't the world being wrong, it's unhealthy and, yeah, it's not attractive, sorry. She's had the stomach surgery so obviously so, she too, is an "image obsessed neanderthal." However, she's had a lifetime of self-control issues; drugs, food, etc. So, even after the surgery, she put most of it back on. But before she did, she went on the "look at how skinny I am" tour, showing it off.

  • @ronineditor I think you're being awfully harsh. Some people simply have addiction/self control issues. It doesn't make them bad, and it surely shouldn't mean that she should be hidden in the videos because she's fat. The "image obsessed neanderthal" comment was referring to image being more important then musical talent in the music industry.

  • @TheBigBlueBox I know it's hard to believe but my issue with her is how she (seemingly) has always forced herself into the "lead" of the group. They have a history of going out of their way to appease her self-confidence. Seems like she's the squeaky wheel... she's ALWAYS in the center, not just once in a while; every photo shoot, every video (look to the right, the thumbs of vids -- middle, always). She doesn't want to share - ever. The other two just kinda go along with it, I guess.

  • @ronineditor You're imagining things. If anything, in the early days it was pretty obvious that Chynna was the closest thing to the "lead" of the group. It was obvious in all the videos and all footage I've ever seen of their live performances. Lest we forget, it wass Chynna who decided to leave and caused the group to break up in the first place, which was primarily what caused Carnie's downward spiral. Not that I have any issues with Chynna mind you. I just think you are wrong.

  • @ronineditor ... that must be a really nice glass house you live in.....simple rule of thumb... if you have nothing nice to say, best not to say anything at all.....

And by the way.. Carnie Wilson is Beautiful and she has a wonderful voice...

  • @RobsessedWishes Um, Carnie Wilson is annoying, fat or thin... she's a loudmouth who went on every talk show she could, talking about how GREAT it was that she lost the weight from surgery, how it's who she wanted to be, etc. She was annoying about it... but now that she loaded it back on, nobody can say anything? Double standard huh. But yeah, she, herself, found it more "attractive" when she lost the weight.

  • @ronineditor Since you addressed the "elephant in the room"... perhaps it's time we addressed the idiot in the room O.o

  • @RobsessedWishes Oh, the "idiot" in the room... is that someone who doesn't know that "elephant in the room" is a commonly used expression to talk about the obvious thing that everyone sees but nobody wants to mention. You live in denial. Like I said, she clearly wants to be thin, don't kid yourself with your p.c. nonsense, or should wouldn't have been on the covers of People and US. But when she's 'bigger', nobody is allowed to talk about it now, huh.

  • Great version of this classic! It is also nice to see you three back together. Merry Christmas and God Bless.

  • Well done!

Actually, Wilson Phillips debuted around '88, if memory serves.

  • I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day - brings back the joy of Christmas.

    See you online, folks.

    God Bless.

  • Wilson Phillips reminds me so much of one of my fav 60's girl groups The Honeys Carnie very much like her mom Marilyn Wendy a mix of her mom and her aunt diane and Chynna a mix of her mom michelle Phillips and of Carnie and Wendy's other aunt Ginger Blake nice to finally see Chynna's personality come out more

  • i fell in love with WP's when they first started out back in the 90s..so cool to see them now as grown women with their own families.,, I still love them as much now as I did then..Super nice Christmas cd and as always amazing harmonies...

    MERRY CHRISTMAS, LADIES !!!! :-)
