I never give actual money to people.I ask them what they need and then I go and buy it. May it be just a coffee or a sandwich or tobacco.Too many times I have seen how sick looking women with little childs have been "collected" by a brandnew mercedes benz at the end of the day. So I've told myself if I offer help the way I do and they refuse it they don't actually need it. The only ones that actually get money from me are street artists, musicians or painters etc.
@tickyul Thanks for commenting. With all do respect I think that is an over generalisation and you would need to present harm empirical facts to back up that opinion. Are you implying that you shouldn't give them money because of these things? I have a mental health disorder and I find it offensive that you have place addicts and mental illness in the same category. We all have our burdens and issues and we esp shouldn't judge the homeless for being addicts of mentally ill.
@ImaLanger Thanks for commenting. I understand what you mean. I buy some chips/fries for them when I am in town at night. But ultimately the problem has to be solved by governments. Especially capitalist governments.
Bless you I blame governments for causing homelessness, people dont decide to be homeless its the system the way things are at the moment we seem to be going backwards instead of forwards and people in power are getting more greedy and careless and the poor are getting more poor all the time.
@Promoagent Thanks for commenting. I agree, it has been 2 year since I have made this video and I still occasionally give money. But to solve this problem it has to come from governments and works its way down.
@Promoagent Rich get richer poor gets poorer i am pretty poor myself but im seriously started to think about doing charity work for the homeless people!! How many rich people help i mean really make a difference nobody cares they care for themselves thats it, but to answer the question id offer them the option of water food or maybe a burn "smoke" and always dog food for the doggies! ;) Wish i was a millionair id do so much for my country then the world..

I understand that people want to help those that are homless. I would rather you give money to homeless shelters and food banks. A lot of people on the streets use money for drugs and alchohal.

When I pass people on the street who are "homeless," I feel bad not giving it to them, but then again, how do you know that they are homeless?
