  • Sucks now though that that particular store that Metallica visited is now closing.

  • If only anyone my age went to my music store

  • 1:26 Back in my day we did things different. None of that texta whatyamacallit or mp thirty threes!

  • so cool!! used to LOVE...LOVE...Record & Tape Traders in Baltimore MD don't know if its still around.....loved going there !!!

  • record stores symbolize how music is meant to be more than a file for a ringtone or a way to make a buck; music is an intimate relationship between the listener and the artist. record stores keep this flame burning by allowing music buffs to "get down and dirty" with the music by buying the physical item, something you can touch, and hang with other music fans that share the same ideals in music buying. keep record stores alive!!!

  • Rasputin, is by far the best record store in California{Mountain View}. Hell, the bay area has the best record stores in California. I love coming to this store. It seems the folks down here in so cal get nothing, just an Amoeba, L.A. deserves better. Thank u bay area for keeping shit dope, real, and dirt cheap!

  • Record stores>Downloading

    CD's>MP3's

And shiiiit, I wish I was there

  • id love to go to a record store. problem is, there isnt one near by

  • i remember being there waiting six hours in line to meet metallica which was pretty dope. though i won't lie, there were A LOT of posers and douchebags at this event...not to mention the majority of ppl only got 2-3 mins to meet, greet and sign

  • do you believe the bull**it that is metallica?

  • @daveschmit do U believe the bull thats coming from your computer?!?!?

  • I'm the one in the red bill baseball cap waitin' in line for metallica!

  • @HDBWDB I'm right behind you on the inside, next to the redheaded dude.

  • I Love record stores like the smell of a new or old vinyl record or cd!! that smell is the best smell! music downloads aren't my thing!!!

  • i love record stores

  • I used to spend hours at Zed Records in Long Beach. Loved it!

  • I love just looking around in records stores

  • Wish there was a record store near me. I gotta either go to HMV, which SUCKS, or a different city!

  • if metallica can't save the old music industry no one can.

  • Kids these days need to ditch that stupid-ass 'Hot Topic' place and go to an actual record store.

  • 1:21 LOL! I feel ya James.. :)

  • i got 5 guitars signed that day. including a kirk hammett signature series ltd, check out my vids

  • everybody complaining about metallica and the napster thing well you freaking bust your ass to write music and have everybody just steel it like its nothing they had every right to be annoyed and mad i woulde be too i just thought i would put that out there

  • im 16 and man do i miss Tower Records, fuck digital downloading, its easy, but cmon, who doesnt love physically seeing all those awesome cds ad records all lined up! plus as the mighty Het and Kirk said, it was a place to meet up people with like minded interests! METAL UP YOUR ASS!

  • Everyday Music (EM) for anyone in Portland, Oregon looking for a cool record store.

  • if i wanted the lastest metallica song i would be straight onto limewire

  • that is so awesome that metallica went to your record shop!

  • Finally I can be proud of Metallica again.

  • i love local record stores Angelo's CD's n More in Colorado's the best

  • There was a pretty cool record shop in Durango that I use to go to when I lived there. Cheapo Records in Minneapolis/St Paul and Zia's in Las Vegas are my favorites. I use to love Tower Records in NYC and Philly, but they went out of business.

  • With all due respect to the record store it sucks that alot of record store are going down in bussiness I use to work at a wherehouse yeah member those. Its gone now youll find an FYE in the mall maybe. Record store where cool back in the days but these days its seem much easier to just downloaded them through Limewire or Napster its cheaper and I remember that kids use to jack CD from the record store too. So to see that was cool for me cause I would chase those bastards to get my stuff back.

  • lars is going to break in and Kick your ass

  • i was there. check out my channel. i got five guitars signed. i have a vid for my collection. there is a kill em all signed too

  • lol at the idea of james "texting" his friends

  • they're absolutely right. more people should spend a little more time in an old-fashioned record store like that, or even in an f.y.e. or best buy to buy some cds.

  • you're right.

Its not the same to show someone your fresh released Death Magnetic than to have the downloaded tracks

  • @mitalca35 only problem with the second half of your post is that if its sold in best buy or fye, unless you are a mega star like rhianna or something you are literally not going to see a single penny of that money. not one cent.

  • hey! there i am

  • i was there kirk left early stupid

  • Haha yeah when things get out of hand Metallica steps in.

  • dude Kirk and James look so old..XD..still love em though.

  • As it turns out, time does not stand still for bands that have been making records since the early 80's. Go figure.

  • GOD DAMN!!!!! ugh i wish i coulda met em.... i was too late in line :(

  • YES I GOT FIRST

  • nice, epic win
