  • This is pretty big for Cribbar! You can see the argument for using JetSkis to tow in - its clearly hard to paddle into this wave.

  • imagine fallin off youd die on the rocks

  • watch my hurricane alex video - some one nearly did, misses the rocks by inches

  • i caught it!! sat in the green room too!

  • whats the tune?

  • Pressure Man - The Feelers, A good old band from New Zealand

  • You should listen to Flight of the Conchords... REAL New zealand music!

  • Sick

Must be filthy to get caught inside.

  • Ah lads...where where the guns??....:D

  • Just read about it in a book.

  • you sick kids...nice

  • Those two are nails! I would NOT like to be caught in that white water. Did either of them catch it in the end?

  • must be scary shit not knowing where to sit

  • whoops i meant 4 .

    sweet

  • wow that must b aleast a 3x overhead swell that dudes ridin on ...... i think ther anothr wave more furthr out calld zorbas reef wot breaks bit biggr than the CRIBBAR........i luv cornwall!!!

  • Zorba is unreal - makes the Cribbar look small - only works on the hugest days and is 1.5 ism miles out of south fistral - i've only seen it work once - as soon as it breaks again i will film it - roll on hurricane season 08 :O)

  • sweet thanku.....ur vids r cool

  • mmm you sure about this

  • i would shit myself i were them them at 1:36! lol

  • awsome. I live in Newquay. lucky me. fat ass waves.

  • Those guys are shit.

  • They arent shit.

Those are seriously chalengeing waves, good on em for even tryin

  • i bet it was fun going out to the cribber anyway it must be cool going over the swells!

  • Until you've got the balls to get into surf like that, shut up.

  • where is this ???

  • off the north headland of fistral beach, Newquay

  • also dnt u need to have like a jetski so u can get to actually surf big waves like these?

  • no, its close to the shore.

  • wow ok who was it at the cribber? well done guys who ever it was! the cribber is so hard. great vid ty for posting it! sooz

  • Is it working now? hearing its getting really heavy on the west coast

  • it needs a nice gentle offshore wind to make a classic Cribbar day - not howling onshore gales we are going to get this weekend - although it could be 3x overhead onshore mess :o)

  • Nice conditions for beginners then...

  • Great attempt guys, you could really see them just going all out to get those waves, great to see

  • jesus i'd fear for my life if that thing was comin for me! whens the next cribbar then??

  • ok lets straighten a few things out - the two guys in the clip (i chatted with them in the car park afterwards)had never tried the cribbar before, yes their boards were too short but the main reason i think they didn't catch anything was to do with the onshore wind lumping up the face and the tide being too high - the video was shot september '06

  • holy crap

    what month was that?

They would have had more luck with bigger boards... nothing wrong with their guts tho!

PS why does all this anti-english/anti-cornish bollocks erupt so often. I go to cornwall for the waves, not to conquer, and nobody owns the ocean.

  • They need guns. You won't paddle on to a face that big with shorts. They are obviously quite experienced as they have the balls to go out.

  • Hahahaha. I thought I got nailed today. I thought wrong. You boys got guts ;-)

  • Youn need balls of steel just to paddle around in that size, as well as fitness. Surf half that size is very intimidating to paddle out into. I"ll stick to my 3-5 foot max. Getting held down for what seems an age in largish surf is very humbling.

  • they r probs gd surfers, you just dont see them catch any waves, they look like they need to be towed in

  • if you dont know what you're doing you shouldnt really be there - no offence but leave it to the pros and develop your skills a little slower - its a bit dangerous else - when i first started surfing i was caught out by a couple of 6-8ft waves and nearly drowned - its not safe if u dont know what ur doing - but on the other hand... full marks for effort!

  • they really need to be towed in, as if they can get movin that quickly to get up on those monsters.

  • I aint no surfer but this looks amazing. Is this Fistral or Little Fistral?

  • the cribbar is amazing, anyone seen it barreling? i havnt but have heard it is amazing. i was there early this year taking pictures for Pro Duncan Scott. amazing.

  • Rather them than me especially when they get caught inside! They need a mate with a jetski and a rope :)

  • Did anyone get up that day?

  • The track is "Pressure man" by the feelers.

  • can any one tell me what the track is on this clip?

  • Good effort! You cant begin to imagine what its like until your out there.( not that i ever have)

  • Gotta love the Cribbar :) Fair play to them for attempting it. Who says England doesn't get surf :P

  • Fuck that!!

  • They need a ski
