the series is based off a movie by the same name made back in the early 60's... they couldn't make a second season due to the -and i quote- "classic nature of the movie and it's historical signifigance." Sorry to burst your bubble in the hopes of making another season.

Akira Kurosawa's character and the actor who first portrayed him do get the major props.

He wasn't really covered up in armor as much as he was probably certain vital organs supported by machinary O_o.

His character in the anime also made me say this is a good show too haha.

Yeah knowing the original story I already knew all the characters that were going to die, but Kiku's death was the one that actually made my eye's water a bit.

yeah, well see my friend brought her box set to my house and we watched it together (and she wouldn't let me watch it without her there) so we were watching it all the other day and when that happened, I just went ballistic. I mean, I was going crazy on her and then yelling at the tv. XD I mean, Heihachi died and I felt really depressed, then Kyuzo got whacked by my other favorite character, then Kiku . . . had a meltdown or something and i just fell over. they didn't die in vain, at least.

I did not say it had to be realistic, just said make it a BIT OR SOME WHAT believable. Hummm just to name a few: Dune, The Chronicles of Riddick, Batman, Armitage III, Star Wars, Green Legend Ran, Robot Jox, Matrix,& on.

Some are more realistic then others, but they have explanations & good story plots... Also have very good curator personality; and often that you fine in a real world.

Ok I was an anime fan YEARS ago; back in the day when anime was not as well known as now & when they tried so much harder on making them... (I just like some old school ones)  I stop likeing most Anime around 2002 and completely stop likeing most of them by 2004 or so.

Look at the fist Ghost in the Shell, or Armitage III, Green Legend Ran, and some others. Yes they are made in the 90s & late 80s, but thats what they had on TV back then...
