@potrezaml - I didn't get tired of them, just grew into other things. They got to be a bit cumbersome and dated. Loved them at the time though. :)

i have the sds 1000 system, and i recently recorded an album with my band using a custom kit that i built myself on the module,

and i seriously cant tell the difference between mine and acoustic drums. Amazing

I actually don't have the Simmons anymore (it was 1991!) but I think the series was SDS7 although I can't remember. I had this thing called a "Trixer", Simmons mixer with sounds. Innovative for it's time. Thnkx for the comment.

I think you had an SDS-8. It sounds like it.

Yeah I think you're right... SDS8 sounds but it was packaged in what Simmons was calling a "Trixer". A mixer with a trigger interface accessing different Simmons pre-set sounds and FX. :)
