I will be getting a new ball soon. Im not sure if i want the wicked siege or the loaded revolver. I would like to know which ball would be better in heavy oil or for fast changing patterns.
ok im looking for a ball to replace my twisted fury. ive had this and the damage suggested to me. what do you think would fit better? (350+revs, 17ish mph) oh also i do own a bvp rampage, easily my favorite ball and im thinking the damage would just do the same as the rampage. tho i am tempted to buy both balls and retire my other two.
today i just bought my wicked siege i got it frilled for alot of backend and i brought it to one house where there was medium oil on the lanes then i went to my usaul house where there was no oil unfortunately i bowled right after a league got done so the lanes were very dry and my wicked siege was not moving at all is this ball not meant for dry lanes i thought that it would just take off more but it was about 5 boards weaker on dry lanes
@take1a1good1wiff Sometimes when you throw an aggressive ball on light oil, it will burn up and actually go straighter than on heavier oil. This is because it's using up its energy on the front part of the lane and doesn't have anything left for the backend.
I love this ball just got it, I have been playing for 3 years, and with this ball went from a 140 to a 180, so far, once you adjust to the ball forget it, it does what it suppose to. I am a huge fan, plus for a rebate of 50.00 dollars all you pay is about 90 dollars well worth it,
Look at Curlie's shots. The deflection through the pin deck is awful. Im not bagging on brunswick because I have a revolver in my bag each night at league and a Wild Card for heavy oil sport shots. I've also had the 2.5, 3.5, and have thrown the sieges my friends had. In my view, the Revolver and Wild Card are the two best balls brunswick has released in the last two years without a doubt. My opinion of course. They just don't deflect like this or some of the others brunswick has released.
@masterchief247 Ive actually heard that alot about the Siege line. Never seen the actually Siege in action tbh but my brothers ex used the Evil siege and i saw it had alot of trouble carrying a steady line. Also noticed like you pointed out there was alot more deflection then actual drive to this ball. Then my friend has the Siege Defender which i assume was just an after market ball that never made it to shelves or what. his pro shop sold it to him saying it was an international ball.
@masterchief247 The wird thing about his ball is it doesnt even show on brunswicks site though which makes me iffy on it. Though judging by its reaction being worse then that of what i saw from the Evil siege i suppose it speaks for itself. I must say though i have a Diamonback and i completely love that ball.
@mlim23 smoother consistent roll: 4.5 something that gives me a lil more pop in the back: wicked siege keep in mind surfaces on the ball will vary as well
Watch a little closer. The ball has a consistent look going through the pins. Deflection - no way. This ball finishes stronger on the backend than most Brunswick balls, has the Storm look. 1:30 on you call that deflection? I called it Wicked.
@AlsetInc Shure there are some hits that look good. But on the other hand, there are way more hits that look horrible in terms of continuation. If it was just a bad hit for Tony, I would not realy care. But if you look at the video from Buddies, you can see the same happening for them. Shure what you see in the videos are shots thad carried but I guess, that there is a loot of footage with odd leaves because of this deflection.
The first 3 shots (Tony) may have deflected a bit, but more importantly, they still struck. After that, I didn't see much deflection, especially at 1:33. :)
@katfishrich70 I have been bowling for many years and am now 34. I carried an average in the 180's for probably 7-10 years straight. I just couldn't get over the hump into the 190's+. However, I also did not practice, I just bowled in 1 league per week and that was enough for me.
So to answer your question, that's awesome. Now it depends where you want to take it. Questions to ask yourself: Are you practicing to improve? Do you want to improve? How high do you want to get your average?
@katfishrich70 To get over the 185 average, I found that I was missing many easy spares. I would whiff a lot of ten pins, or get sooo frustrated I would basically give up. I had the attitude of a loser and therefore kept my average low.
Practice your spare shooting, and you will be in the 190's or 200's quicker than you would expect.
@JackyQuacky27 The only good balls in that line, were the Pearl, and the Twisted pearl. The C System series is straight fire. Brunswick is making very good shit at the moment, actually.
@JackyQuacky27 Gotta agree there. Even with a Siege and Evil Siege, My Fury Pearl finds more use as it keeps its consistency and breakpoint through a full set.
I just got one! I'm 15 been bowling for less than 2 years my average is 150 and I bowled a 180 187 and 186 first three games with it. Love it!

yeah this ball needs oil up front to work properly, if you have some head oil this ball is a beast. very strong and very predictable.

I kind of want to see an amateur throw the ball. I'll bet these guys can make a plastic ball look like this year's new model.

what does "durometer" mean? how does it affect the ball? also, Curlie doesnt help sell the ball. whatever happened to Brian?

@masterchief247 The reason why Curlie's shots deflect is not because of the ball, this is due to the fact that he has a low rev rate!

how much better is this compared to a Csytstem 4.5?
mlim23 1 year ago
@mlim23 The wicked siege is asymmetric, the 4.5 is symmetric. the wicked siege is gonna snap alil more then the 4.5
