aw. that sucks. it was a first for sooo many things in the pokemon world--breeding, signs that pop up on the page when u enter a different town or route, female main character, being able to select an item in ur bag and then push the select button to use it, moving sprites and much more. in some magazine that i read(some major game one) they ranked the top 10 pokemon games and ruby sapphire and emerald werent on it. Crystal was the best. =]

lol. i used windows movie maker to put the frames together and each picture is 0.07 seconds long or something like that. and i just sorta drew every frame in OpenCanvas and then put it together ^^
