While I like to think that I understand the sacrifices that individuals make during war, I suspect that without experiencing it myself (something I hope I never have to do), I'll never truly be able to grasp the true meaning of sacrifice.
I am looking very much forward to viewing the exhibition and understanding more about how our society is taking care (or trying to take care) of those who have made these sacrifices.

I'm proud to be able to say that I once met Bill, at a wedding in the early 70's. Sadly no longer with us.
