although placing sandbags around the main island derricks does serve to eliminate dog luck in the early game, the sandbags on the outer derricks give sovs an advantage as the sov amphib can run them over while the allied amphib cannot

too noob.. i prefer to create drones 2 slow he's economy rather 2 build too many rhinos... to create an army to engage a rush attack build 5 rhinos guarded by 8-10 conscript, conscript guarded by 3-4 dogs, along with 3 drones 2 scout or attack d miners... rhinos attack buildings such as ore refinery ore factory,conscript attack enemies defending tanks, dogs attack troops...

The graphics are not the only thing that makes a good game. I sometimes play the 1. Red Alert, but it was released for win 95, and sometimes I XP dont realises it. It looks like a big collection of blocks, but it is still entertaining.

I would play red alert online but my computer is slow as shit and we need a new one... I bet MY DAD or me could beat one of these players but we don't play online so we don't know my dad is more defensive than anything in this game he has never lost against 7 brutal opponents before though it takes him about 3 hours to do it he always knows what hes doing. I do too but I am a bit rash and I rush them too much and lose a lot of money but I could be better if I tried.

2 years are needed for games like starcraft. RA2 is extremely simple, it takes just some months for someone who can play at high levels.

I don't see many reasons to brag when mastering a game that nobody plays competively, or to compare with players who were the best back when the competition was more less 50 times bigger.

Being on the top of the ladder while ra2 was played by thousands of gamers 8 years ago, that was something worth remembering. And games were far better than this, these guys stare at each other doing nothing..... no rush, no harassment, nothing! my god.... I'm even seeing tesla troopers used, incredible

And the new patch made changes that change how the game is played to more in the favor of new school styles like yourself so how is that balanced anyways?

Amen, they are the best in the world at trying to play this game dynamically when it's not dynamic. Tank rush as soviets, and be faster and better, that's about it, maybe some desos, maybe some flaks, maybe some terrors given the situation. I was quite up there back in the day, and seeing these guys kinda makes me chuckle. They are good by today's standards, but no one plays anymore, screw Yuri's Revenge for the death of RA2.

you guys all say, these guys suck, I would waste em,etc. Its not true. Yes you guys play mod maps with unlimited money and 10000tanks. Here there is limited money and you cant just make a battle lab and navy, you must keep up with tanks all the time, presure, etc. Its much harder than it seems. I am a quite good ra2 player (around top20 quik match, altho I dont qm now anymore), and I also think this looks somewhat easy like they do it. But when your playing there yourself, its much harder.

strong. Yes, The rocketeers and take them down but if you keep a bunch of flak tracks around them nothing can touch them. And don't forget Yuri and cloning vats. If you have the cloning vats building you should build a wall around your barracks. When you train infanteri only one unit will come out from your cloning building But you don't lose any money so you can build 500 tesla troopers or yuris and it don't have 2 cost u a single dollar! (Part 2)

hi GSFcarlJ. You can't decide if it is the allies or the soviet who is best but i think the allies have better tactical units and defense. Like The grand cannon, GL's, Tanya, Spyes and chrono Legionnaire. But the soviets are like a Warmachine. Renember, they have the best tank: Apocalypse! And it has heavy air defense too. terror drones, crazy ivans and the ultimate soviet unit, the Kirov airship. It's slow but incredible (part 1)

in fact i always play in hamachi, and i have never been beated, maybe luck, maybe not, i always play with the allies, made the tech's and stop the rinho rush with GI's and if possible with mirages, providing some air cover too, with another rokeeters
