Yes I agree with you about today's music being rubbish, but it's really the 70s and 80s that were the best by far for music, not the 90s. The 90s had a lot of good songs, but music was in the decline so it wasn't as great as the 70s or 80s.

Yes the world was better, but it was also much greedier. Historians now believe that the 1980s and 1990s were the greediest of all decades. Still they were great times. My grandmother was born in 1920 and died in 1999 and I remember I asked her her favorite decades and she said 20s, 50s, 60s and 80s!

Exactly you were 4 or 5 years old when this song came out aka a tiny little kid. I don't understand why you would consider yourself lucky. If you were born say 1950 for example you'd have had a 50s childhood, seen the swinging 60s, funky 70s, and old enough to appreciate 80s music properly from start to finish. Today's music is bullshit but it's of your generations doing. The great 80s music was done by people BORN EARLIER.
