what is the play about?

the show is about kids/teens growing up in 1800s germany, but the music is supposed to be their inner thoughts and its basically in a modern day voice because the show is trying to take the problems people were dealing with back then and connect them with people today.

for example teen pregnancy/abortion, rape, suicide, being gay, etc

I like this version a lot. It's my second favorite next to the OBC, but the reason the OBC is my favorite is because I like all the different voices, and well, I just love the OBC! But God, Duncan Sheik has a fantastic voice.
