I've always liked this mini series...I wish they still had stuff like this on t.v. I saw the whole thing and Book 2 back in the 80's...it's good to see it again. Thanks for uploading. :)

If the whole series was loaded up then WHY WHY WHY are they not labeled properly? Part 1, 2, 3 etc.

I'm craving the Old South. Love those mega plantations and the way of life. How grand it would have been to be the son of a great cotton planter! Day after day of flirting with the South's finest, most spoiled southern belles in our exensive, tailored suits and clothing while never lifting a finger to do anything!

One thing I remembered but as I was like ten at the time this came out never realized, was how fantastic the musical score was for a TV mini series...it's better and more memorable than most big budget movies today... I can't hum the theme for spider-man, or x-men, or transformers...but this one came right back to me

I just love the music to this and that little fight with Brett and Ashton--just the beginning, huh? :) Have you read the books? I've read all three.
