  • land is too expensive in the uk so I'm planning to do this in bulgaria.. even in south bulgaria winters are very harsh so i'd have to work extremely hard to make a project like this livable year round. also the reciprocal roof would confuse me... angles... and also how the beams sit/rest on the top of the wall!

great house though very good loved to watch it :)

  • good video

  • What artist is this music from?

  • wauuuu!!! :) genios!!

  • @fingersjones Nice one. Permanent Publications sell the book.

  • @edie221 Yes. Maybe on Vista.

  • Respond to this video...

  • Also, have you ever used oak for the cordwood, with cob infill?

  • @outofmire yes, but only on the bottom layer. It's a bit of a waste really to use oak, and also the best woods for cobwood walls are light air-filled woods like poplar or cedar or douglas fir etc. We used oak logs to support the floor joists, not shown here, and as additional supports for the rafters round the back.

  • How big is it.

  • @outofmire 5 metres internal diameter

  • Excellent - planning permission ;)

  • thats awsome!

  • Nice House, what was the cost of making this home?

  • £900

  • id love to know more on "how to". where can i find info?

  • Inspirational, truly, I have a newspaper article about you guys n gals and sum of the bother you had with your home and the powers that be! (at least i think its u)? I have long dreamed about leaving mainstream society,to live in this fashion but there is a serious lack of like minded folk.

  • wow, it's beautiful! Did you use cob as the morter between logs?

  • Yes.
