Never watched Moonlight before - didn't know CB appeared! I absolutely love Claudia and think she's a wonderful actress, but her American accent is funny. I don't think American accents are very easy to do - but we're used to other foreigners that do it so easily - Nicole Kidman, Toni Collete, Kate Winslet, etc. They should just let Claudia speak normally w/ her Australian accent. Although, I'd love to hear her with a British accent. She'd probably sound great doing that.
I know she is Australian, but her accent sounds more like a blend of English/Aussie... I love her normal voice, she could read the dictionary aloud and make it sound interesting.
Claudia's fabulous, but I agree she seems to be wasted in this - I wish someone like Aaron Sorkin would write her a great part as a lawyer grappling with a bunch of contemporary moral dilemmas - and, yes, let her speak with her own accent!! The woman is so underused, it's criminal.
No kidding! Hollywood just keeps reusing the same faces (most of whom don't have the kind of talent that she does) because that's what people are familiar with, when they should be begging people like Claudia to make time to be in their movies.
