  • The project does not get government funding bacause that would open it to governemnt oversight and reveal ther lack of funds going to the actual work.

  • Mr Obama make you white peoples slaves and will will become ready in week. Wizuuuuu.... autch

  • The Native Americans chose Mr. Korchak to sculpt this wonderful, amazing monument for them. I was lucky to see it nearly forty years ago, and they are making steady progress, considering how massive it really is.

  • How did all that rock get on top of the monument? and WOW how early architecture was!

  • I was at the site in 2007 What an awesome site, Highly recommended,

  • scam dont go save your money. If they wanted it done they would just accept federal funds. Plus its owned by a white family what more do i have to say.

  • How is it a scam? And maybe if you actually looked around, watched the videos, asked questions.... you would know why they don't accept federal funding. Just because it's owned by a white family doesn't mean anything...

  • Do you think a white family would ever finish a monument to honor Native Americans? They don't want it done. they make more money from it incomplete. The crazy horse memorial fund goes to line the pockets of the many Ziolkowski surviving relatives. This property is also one of the largest muck (blasted rock) operations in the world. They make the most money from this enterprise.

  • @scottisaak : For heavens sake these people are carving a MOUNTAIN. Did you think it would be finished in a week??? It's too bad that the Ziolkowski family couldn't finish it last year just to please you.

  • Its changed a ton actually it's just hard to see, they are working on removing a large amount of rock around the horses head. If you go to their website and compare the pictures from the past 8 years you can see that a substantial amount of progress has been made.

  • yea it has not changed at all since i was there when i was 17and that was 5 years ago

  • Yeah,me too. Sad to say it hasn't changed one heck of a lot since I was age 10...and I'm 57 now.

  • Thanks for the video. We were wondering how he was coming along.
