  • the drumset and keyboards were probably bought at one of the gay parades. not that I have anything against gays

  • 1:33 "Pleasant Surprise" by T. Ohmura... !??!?!!

  • pretty fucking sick chicken picking!

  • Sure sounds like something Morse would do - for a much shorter duration. This guy certainly read Morse's book....

  • Chris Impelliteri is really Steve Morse with his hair dyed.

  • This is not Steve Morse idiots!!!!!!

    this is a Chris Impelliteri!!!!

  • That is some tastefull shredding!

  • Yup- this is Imelliteri. I don't know why they were not more popular.

  • WTF this song it`s played for Chris

  • 32 people are idiots

  • YOU ARE AN IDIOT JERK

  • take that yngwie :P

  • This is definitely Impelliteri, but with a Morse-ish feel, until the solo section, that feels kinda Borislav Mitic-like...the rhythm work and main riffs are very Morse-ish, this is better than I remember Chris being, as far as melodically. Everyone improves eventually, I guess. Cool!

  • I'm almost positive this is NOT impelliteri, but Morse.

  • Steve Morse and Chris Impelliteri don't look alike at all so how can you screw this up?

  • This is Chris Impelliteri... 17th century chicken picking... and it owns...

  • Annoying keyboard

  • ES UN GENIO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Impellitteri - 'screaming symphony' - 17th century chicken pickin'

Steve Morse is good, but not this fast...

  • @DifferentPhases Morse not this fast? Hell, half of this is ripped off from Morse's "Tumeni Notes". Suggest you go listen to it. Morse didn't win Best OVERALL Guitarist for 5 YEARS STRAIGHT for nothing. How many times did Impellitteri win?

  • @jspartacus I know Morse I've got almost every cd. But still he isn't as fast as Chris Impellitteri. a Little reminder check the spelling it's double L double T. Goodluck...

  • @jspartacus Steve Morse is a real good virtuoos. Have got almost every cd. I like his style and everything, but still he isn't as fast as Impellitteri. a Little reminder for the people who still write/wrote his name wrong. It's double L and double T haha.

  • ; fantastic job ...

  • OKAY BUT STFU ALREADY !!!

  • what the fuck?...this is Chris Impellitteri ¬¬ not Steve Morse

  • IINM, the song is called 17th Century Chicken Pickin'. It's definitely Impelliteri.

  • wrong picture, that´s not steve morse, but let me tell you Chris Impellitteri is a Steve Morse Fan

  • Chris impellitteri ¬¬

  • This isn't steve morse. If you have ears and if you are fan of steve morse, you cannot argue that this is steve mosre.

as many people replied already, it's Chris impellitteri's piece.

  • finally someone else with that opinion ;)

  • absolutely!!!

  • Are you people serious? It is EXACTLY Steve Morse's touch and phrasing.

  • This is STEVE MORSE!!!!! What are you people talking about??? It's Steve Morse and none else...

  • This is not Steve Morse. Not even close.

  • morse is perfectly capable of doing this, why he cannot be? because it's not his style? a good guitarist can play any style, not just his trademark style, then tell me why malmsteen can play voodoo child? it has nothing to do with his style, but makes a good cover, even with something his's

  • Does it matter who it is? it's just class musicianship..

  • This is not Steve Morse. Steve is better than this, I don't know if he is more shred than this guitar player, but his musicianship is better by far.

  • Yep, definitely not Steve Morse. Morse's stuff is far more intelligent. This is just someone's idea of a scale exercise gone wrong. There's none of Steve's trademark 'out' phrasing, nor any of his fabulous chromatic runs, nor is there any creative composition or chord work. It's just someone who only hears the most superficial aspects of Steve Morse's playing, and tries to copy it.

  • Correct, Steve is much better than this.

  • the sound and the style sounds steve...

  • Chris impellitteri!!!chiken picking!

  • Now some people on YOUTUBE have graduated from not Knowing what the fuck their talking about to not Knowing what thier LISTENING to.............seems like a logical progression.............LOL

  • stupid bitch .. is not morse

  • both guys are amazing

  • its a impellitery song.. it`s amazing.. increible and original..

  • FAKEEEE.... STEVE MORSE .... NOOOOOO

  • JensHappe - I don't really care who's faster, this song is 17th Century chicken pickin by Impellitteri - It is not a song by Steve Morse! By the way, Paul Gilbert is KING!

  • It IS Impellitteri!

  • No, Impellitteri is only fast. Steve is a amazing guitar player and an Idol....

    He is much better....

  • This sounds similar to 'tumeninotes' .. nice tune.. always thought of playing that stuff on saxophone.. the agression of the alternate picking technique doesn't translate very well though lol..

  • it's impellitteri

  • how u can be SOOOOO far from guitar player ... but it sounds quite similar with Steves style, but its - Chris ........

    maaaaaan ((((((((((

  • ??????

    Steve Morse?????????

  • This is Chris Impelliteri's 17th Century Chicken Picking, not from Steve Morse band

  • cmon steve can do this without pick and only with his pinky

  • Er...this is 17th Century Chicken Pickin', an awesome piece of music from Chris Impelleritteri.

But I think Steve can do this as well.

  • hmm i think thats only steves cover... he likes some fast clasical picking and string skipping and this is hes sound too so its posible :)

  • Yes, its Chris Impellitteri :)

    However the style sounds similar...

  • Steve has great music by himself, why use his name and pictures and use the music of someone else? silly..

  • How many Guitar Player of the Year awards has Impelliteri won? That number is zero! Steve Morse won it 5 times in a row and was inducted into the Guitar Player Hall of Fame so it would give some of the other musicians a chance to win it once. Once C.I. wins it 5 times straight, then he would be in Steve Morse's class of guitar greats. Until then..... he's just another speed metal guitarist which are a dime a dozen

  • I fucking love Morse, but... How many awards has that Synyster Gates won? He sucks major ass.

  • This is STEVE MORSE you fucking idiots!!!! Don't you have hearing???

  • Sounds like Steve Morse tone and lead inflection, but clearly Impellittens song Race In to the light. Is this Steve Morse performing this song, because the tone is in the spirit of Morse. Certainly Morse is capable of this speed chromatic pentatonic stuff.

  • 17th century chickenpicking, but the rest was correct :)

  • :D This is Steve Impellitteri XD

    HAHHAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

    Or Chris Morse?? ?? X°°°D

  • I wish I could get the tone of those chug-chug sounding chords.

  • This isn't Steve Morse it's Chris Impellitteri's 17th Century Chicken Picking.

  • Holy Shit, It's the 2nd time i click on this video wanting to hear some Steve Stuff, not Impelliteri!

  • FUCKING STUPID ... THIS IS NOT MORSE .. IS CHRIS

You're SOOO STUPID. The Confederate flag is a symbol of southern pride and slavery.

  • ya, thats impellitteri. Why would anyone post up a song with the wrong credits?

  • This is Chris Impellitteri.

  • what song is this?

  • impellitteri - 17th century chicken pickin

  • Ah what!!! Not steve. Oh well it's sweet none the less. I like the similar motion keyboard lines.

  • lol, it's canon in d, done really fast. good job to whoever arranged it though.

  • canon in d? you are so crazy xD

  • yeah, the chord progression, it obviously at least begins with root, 5th, then sixth, and sounds a lot like D-A-B-F#-G-D-G-A, but it changes like once or twice, so it's not /exactly/ the same. but yes, I hear canon.

  • Well, it might be in a different key, but the progression is the same

  • THIS IS NOT STEVE MORSE!

    this is Crhis Impelitteri

  • It was quite obvious it wasn't Steve, I think. But Impelitteri? Really? Because I think it sounds pretty neat but I've always thought of Chris as nothing but a wanker.

  • well, you're obviously wrong in your in your assumption.

This is 17th century chicken pickin' from the Screaming Symphony album by non other than Impellitteri who is one of the cleanest players around when he wants to.

  • Steves didnt wrote that. thats not his song but he likes to challenges... i mean its hes tone and hes picking style :)

  • awesome but as you said this is not steve morse

  • It may be Impelliteri, but it is a Morse cop, big time. The quarter note root pedaling on the bass ala 'cruise missile', diatonic harmony, and crap loads of palm muted 16th notes with a bit of a celtic flair a la 'tumeni notes'. Clearly a nod to good ol uncle Steve..

  • This is not Steve Morse's gigs. Please correct it. 19th century chicken picking by Chris Implelliteri.

  • yep, not steve morse. Just one sick ass song from Chris Impelliteri!

  • one word..awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • BTW. Have you ever heard Steve Chicken pick. He's way better than implelliteri.

  • yeee impellitteri WTF??!!!! chicken picking

  • I saw Steve Morse back in about 1986 when he was with Kansas for a while. He didn't sound anything like this. This sounds more like Yngwie Malmsteen.

  • this is fucking chris impelliteri noob

  • I said it "sounds like" Yngwie. I didn't say it was him. Repeat after me,

'soooouuuunnnds liiiiike".... c'mon, you can do it! That's a good boy.

I have no idea who Chris Impelliteri is. And please keep your profanity to yourself. I've always heard that people that use that kind of language don't have anything better to say.

  • oh yeah sorry about that...i think i was drunk or somethin when i left tht comment..apologies :)

  • Accepted. So who is this Chris Impelliteri? Never heard of him. Sounds good though.

  • this is Impellitteri's 17th century chicken picking

  • As probably previously mentioned, this is 17th century chicken picking by Chris Impelliteri.

I had an mp3 5 years ago named Steve Morse - Instrumental metal actually, and it was this song. This isn't Morse though.

  • To play like this, all you need to do is master the picking patterns, do wrist curls, and drink protein shakes. And practice. That's it. Do that for a couple of years. This is not steve's style, is it?

  • not Steve's style but him and petrucci can do just about anything

  • uncredible!!! This guy is my favorite guitar player...because...he is the best!

  • Even though this isn't Steve, I have no doubt in my mind that Steve could play any of this. He's an amazing player, and very versatile at that.

  • god... I don't like it, but let us call it something like "He's trying to show that he can play everything":P

    Yngwie.... fuck off!

  • fakeeeeeeeee

  • whatta fuck dude... its not steve morse

  • We've all ready established that this is Chris Impelitteri, not Steve Morse, so please STOP REPEATING IT.

  • This IS NOT STEVE !!!

  • This is Chris Impelitteri you stupid hacks....

  • Well yea it does sound a lot like steve because theres a lot of alternate picking, and steve usually backs his guitar with a piano similar to this one.

  • That's not a piano. It's a harpsichord.

  • yea its not steve, i made a mistake cause this is like one of the million styles i here steve playing.

  • Not Steve Morse. I'd suggest changing it since the playing style sounds similar and people are gonna mix it up.

  • wtf that's 17th century picking by chris impellitteri.......

  • still not steve morse...

  • AWESOME! now, alot of ppl can shred. but not many can does it like steve
