  • Anyone else notice that a couple of the characters had the same voice as Carl Wheezer?

  • ...Ok, let's not kid ourselves, we're all this obsessed about at least something in our lives.

  • BALONEY

  • "You guys are the G-Rated."

Never caught that until now. Brilliant.

  • If only we could send the bronies to this program...

  • This episode is so ahead of its time. It predicted TGWTG, Fur Affinity, and /co/ YEARS before they were made.

And I bet that the cartoons of the 90s were a plot by the collapsed Soviet Union in order to exploit capitalism to the point where it would make America so degenerate that they could take over in the near future.

  • The episode. It simply OOZES with satire!

    I love it!

    :D

  • I have a life. I didn't replay to see what was in the room... Wait... Now I'll never know. Um... Oh, screw it. *replays video*

I can't beat you Yakko... No one can. Lol

  • VIOLA, the geekiest WB fanatic ever!

Let's send them rabid Twilight fans there, please, please, please!

  • An open letter to atheists, Christians, Muslims, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgenders, environmentalists, protesters, anti war fanatics, pro war fanatics, democrats, republicans, and those creepy creepy Twilight\Buffy fans. Please please pleese get a life.

  • @millinniummany3k

that's...everyone. which i guess is why South Park exists.

  • @millinniummany3k this is by far one of the best responses I have ever seen on youtube

  • @GrumpyMcfart You have Edward Cullen fanatics cutting themselves open so the actor playing him can drink their blood. I don't think any Buffy fan ever came close to that, and I think some of the actors were unnerved by how big it was at that. And I don't think I need to explain politics or religion. Really Westboro? Because the army allows gays means you have free reign to picket the funerals of fallen soldiers? Please please please get a life. Please.

  • @millinniummany3k

I'm not really sure what you're responding to,my comment on your comment was sincere (and I've been Christian my whole life; please (please pleese) don't assume that those westboro...things (I refuse to dignify them by calling them people) speak for the rest of us.)

  • @GrumpyMcfart Believe me, I know. Don't fool yourself, they're not Christians. I'm just saying how much some people need to get a life.

  • All you have to do is replace that screen text with a screenshot of WoW and it's instantly modern :p

  • *Sigh* If it only were that easy to send rabid fanboys there...

  • lol me and my friend made up something called the "No Life Foundation"

    the irony :D

  • Did anyone else actually rewind to see what was in the room at the beginning?

  • what a fanboy at 0:06 - 1:06

  • I love the Barney parodies

  • Not just Twilight, but Trekkies, Jedi, and LOTR

  • @godzilloid trust me I rather take my chances with Hobbits vulcans and kid anakin skywalkers whining than sparkling vampires.

  • Lexlinkroy at 1:53

  • 0:01 buster bunny doll :D

  • Considering the 'last resort' the foundation does there is no way I'm going to get *that* into cartoon trivia. Don't want the risk of meeting Baloney. XD

  • this video is actually for the youtube commentators but as you can see they all act like its really about "twilight fans"

  • Twilight fans, we have a Please, PLEase, PLEASE...Get a Life foundation for you.

  • the iris out on the nose thing's been done!

  • Thumbs up if you need the please please pleese get a life foundation

  • animaniacs was ahead of their time...... bashing trolls before they existed..... SO EPIC!!

  • @mikkygurl13 Not trolls, trivia nerds...

  • Haha XD what if I'm caught up in cartoon trivia, but Im not bagging on you guys, just adoring you from afar? Huh? Huh?

  • They appear to have stolen the character design of comic book guy from the Simpsons (only less yellow) but hey, Matt paid them back by stealing the design for Dr. Scratchunsnif and calling him "the professor" on Futurama, so it's all even. And of course, I'm missing the point here, given that I'm basically doing exactly what this short is telling me not to do.

  • @gentlerat hits with hammer

  • They appear to have stolen the character design from the Simpsons (only less yellow) but hey, Matt paid them back by stealing the design for Dr. Scratchunsnif and calling him "the professor" on Futurama, so it's all even.

  • The Life you get could be your own.

    I think I call them;P

  • best part is, all the lines of the fanboys were taken from real-life fan-male the production team recieved

  • "Are you happily engrossed in inconsequential cartoon trivia to the point that your socks can probably stand up on their own?" I-.....*sigh* yes but I won't troll about it! Yakko's universe being un-enjoyably I can't believe that guy! .....*picks up phone*

  • Heh heh heh... Czechoslovakia isn't a country either... *gets hit with a hammer*

  • 18 people re-wound to the beginning

  • The Please Please Please Get A Life Foundation should advertise over at TV Tropes.

  • "In Yakko's World, Tibet is not technically a country."

Is it wrong of me to want to punch that guy? If he was as smart as he was supposed to be, he would KNOW that nobody EVER said Yakko was listing all the COUNTRIES, rather than the NATIONS. Gosh.

So, here I am criticizing the cartoon, who criticizing the cartoon, who is getting criticized for criticizing the cartoon, so technically, by pointing this out, I'm just as bad as he is. Right? Paradox.

  • @jamocha101 It's not a nation either. :P

  • @Rosethecomposer It's a place, where people live, in a government, with whatever type of unification, and because "nation" is a biguous word, I think it can in fact, be considered, a nation.

  • barney still freaks me out...

  • Fans to send there:

Disney (who like the modern stuff), Twilight, Family Guy, Justin Bieber, newer Nickelodeon show fans, newer Cartoon Network show fans

Please reply if I missed any.

  • @InvaderWakkoReborn It's not about liking crappy stuff, it's about being way too obsessed with the stuff you like.

  • @InvaderWakkoReborn Avatar is in that Nickelodeon list. Your list is invalid.

  • @guitarskills2 uhh...

    I meant shows after that.

If you're going to start a fight over Youtube, do a better job! -_-

  • fuck! they nailed it so well!

I mean who are these people anyways...?!?!?!?!

  • They predicted the advent of grammar nazis and trolls. I seriously think the warners are pshycick. And is there any problem you cant solve without a giant mallet or anvil?

  • Wait, "E=mc^2" isn't the equation for special relativity...?

  • @Commando303X It is indeed one of the main equations when it comes to special relativity and leads to a whole lot of other stuff. One of the other main equations would be the Lorentz factor, c/sqrt(c^2-v^2) which describes time dilation and all that.

In other words, the guy at the beginning of the video has it wrong. Poor guy, it can't be easy to be both wrong and a loser.

  • @Sporegasm I think something just flew over your head.

  • the guy in the beginning reminds me of comic book guy from the simnpsons.. lol

  • 18 people need to get a life

  • One of the related videos is "tips on shaving your groin" from Gilette. This must be some of that censor-slipping magic Animaniacs had...

  • Priceless

  • *hits the guy with a mallet*

  • I'm so glad that this scene made it onto the DVDs that are currently out. C'mon Warner Bros, WE NEED THE LAST EPISODES ON DVD! :-D

  • TAKE THAT TROLLS!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol, classic! i haven't seen this in ages

  • i think that the please please please get a life foundation is now known as the troll foundation

  • More like YOU get a life, Warner Bros.! I'm happy the way I am as a nitpicky nerd! And all of you should respect just the way you are, too!

  • this is amazing

  • if your watchign this vid, you should really reaaaally get a life :)

  • This... is... so... MUCH... WIN!!!

  • My dad stalks my use of the internet when I'm at his house using the router, so I'm sending this to him to shove a little reality in his face.

  • I swear, the creators of this show were friggin' SEERS! They predicted the outbreak of GIFT (Great Internet Fuckward Theory) before it had a name! Bless their genius minds!

  • @MaDrEaMeR17 Gift means poison in german. just thought youd want to know that.

  • @BlackFly1988 Especially relevant when you give someone rat poison :D

  • @TheLawn ...in cupcakes..

  • True, Tibet is not a contry. Its a nation. Its was called YAKKOS WORLD, and in the opening clip it did say 'And now, the NATIONS of the world, by Yakko Warner!"

Not the COUNTRIES of the world. So, Steve, you where wrong.( Yes, the guy in the opening clip was named Steve. ) These guys( The Please,Please,Please get a Life Fondation 0sent me a flier the other day, lol. (:

  • "its my yummy yum fun fun yummy fun yum yum"

    that dinosaur always cracks me

  • I really played the opening scene again to see what was in the room.

  • i really should join. :(

  • And this is why I thoroughly believe that Animaniacs had psychic powers that make them all the more awesome.

  • If only we can send Twilight fans there

  • @Tacom4ster If only we can send MW2 fanboys there

  • What makes this TRULY hilarious is that the the fanboy characters here are based off of a couple of real-life fanboys named Noel Tominak and Dennis "Quozl" Falk (who actually stalked Tress MacNeille, btw) and the lines are directly quoted from their newsgroup postings on "rec.arts.animation".

  • @mhirtes12 Not sure where you get your information. Never heard of a Noel Tominak. Quozl wasn't much of an Animaniacs fan, spending most of his time on the purient alt.tv.tiny-toon.fandom group. The posts that are paraphrased were from alt.tv.animaniacs, and gleaned from a fan-compiled document called the Cultural References Guide to Animaniacs. The people paraphrased were the regulars of a.t.a. Several of us were given a private screening of this episode a few weeks before it aired.

  • @Keeper1st I got my info from one of the animators that worked on the show. I knew about this episode at least six months before it came out.

  • @mhirtes12 Fans knew about the episode since way back in 1994 when Peter first got the idea to do it. Not sure what "mindset" you mean; it's perfectly acceptable to set a record straight. I'm just pointing out that there wasn't anyone named Tominak on the group, and recalling my own memories of Falk. Tom Ruegger himself recently wrote that he'd never seen or heard any truth to the stories which fans have been spreading about such "stalker" people. Having seen such people, though, I still wonder.

  • @Keeper1st And by the way, your comments show that this sort of mindset is still running strong to this very day.

Please, please, PLEASE get a life! LOL!

  • Thank you, Animaniacs, for predicting the future. *bows down to awesomeness*

  • @WishesSetFree Future? No. Everything in this episode was paraphrased from actual net posts. The internet has been around longer than you might think. It's only the Web part of it that's relatively young. Animaniacs, however, was indeed one of the first TV shows to have an interaction between the creators and internet fans, with this episode being one of the results. (And we fans took with the good humor in which it was intended, much to their relief!)

  • @Keeper1st sadly I must now hit you with a hammer

  • @meowistforlife You mean a Large Wooden Mallet.

  • @Keeper1st drops metal anvil on head

  • @meowistforlife Is there any other kind?

  • @Keeper1st unleashes orange dinosaur

  • @meowistforlife You mean Baloney, voiced by Jeff Glen Bennett, first appeared during episode 61, on May 2, 1994, in production 406-659, "Baloney and Kids" by Peter Hastings, animated by Wang Film Productions. Bwah hah hah hah! Yum yum doodle dum!

  • @Keeper1st for you there is no hope

  • @meowistforlife Thank goodness for that!

  • @WishesSetFree people like this existed well before 2003 you know

  • I like how Animaniacs were ahead of their time by ten years, back in the mid 90's, when almost no one even had the internet.

  • Haha, 3:02

Yakko: "Call us BEFORE you rewind to see what was in the room in the opening shot."

    Me: "Too late."

Lol, as soon as the opening shot was over, I watched it again to see what was in the room. :D

This is hilarious! To be honest, I do notice small details and mistakes sometimes, but I'm not THAT bad. :P

  • if only they had this therapy for WoW players.

  • @animechick2006

    Or Trekkie's

  • This video is just scarily accurate

  • 2:52 OMG ITS BARNEY!!!!! XD

  • I'd be scared of Baloney too :o

  • I found this video...and now I love it.

  • Good God... the animaniacs anticipated useless trivia nerds, the forerunners of the internet troll, years before hand... how did they do that?

  • proof positive that the Animaniacs were ten-fifteen years ahead of their time.

  • @dasstu i dunno man, this isnt the only case in animaniacs. The show is ridden with these type of jokes. The finger prince joke is probably the prime example.

  • @beserkpantboi Well true, Animaniacs was filled to bursting with these jokes, as was nearly every cartoon up until the invention of Soccer Moms. But they tended to only go for easy and obvious ones. They didn't really stretch that fa....

Oh I see what you're doing, you're making me sound like one of those guys in the vidio. Very clever Pantboi, very clever....

  • @dasstu lol ok lets leave it at that otherwise an anvil will drop on our head or barney will come and scare the shit out of us :P

  • Wow, this is the very definition of aspergers. O___O Or as they call it on web boards, ''sperin' out' and such.... o___o

  • Baloney scares me.

  • There is one thing I love about trivia and that's how shows and films get made; as long as it's no CGI of course.

  • 2:50 BARNEY!!! I mean... BALONEY!! That dinosaur would literally scare me if I was around him!

  • man, did the reviewers that let the cartoon be shown actually watch the show. How did some of these gags get through. To those who are wondering wat im revering too its the sock joke right at the start.

  • @beserkpantboi I think they may have just meant the socks were dirty enough to stand on their own. It was a simpler time

  • lol baloney! man he's scarier in the episode!

(baloney & kids so you don't resort to their level)

  • you shouldn't care anywhere near that much about a cartoon unless you drew it.

  • This video is first in "get a life you"

  • i should call the number...

    i don't watch enough animaniacs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • calling in the dumb dino was to harsh.

  • Hmm...I picked up on the 65th anniversary, Cookies for Einstein (thanks to the internet), and the third "please" at the end; but they got Pavlov's Mice wrong. He was, in fact, interested in classical conditioning but he used dogs instead of mice.

    Okay...what's that number? :)

  • NOO THEY FOUND ME!!!! I MUST RUN!!! I KILLED THE DINOSAUR AND NOW THEY WANT MY HEAD!! which is actually about 0.5% larger than it....

The user known as tjcross2 has been captured and is now going through therapy have a pleasant day

  • this skit is relevant to like HALF if not most of the comments on this website. love it! :-)

  • >.> I actually didn't notice the misspelling. YAY Im not a total nerd!

... *rewinds to see waht was in the room at the opening*

  • anyone know if there's a better quality version of this?

  • Wikipedia

  • GREATness. Beautiful slam on internet trolls. I remember them then, too.

And kiddies? That output device? It was called (you might want to write this down) a MONOCHROME monitor.

  • 2:50 - Oh god... RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!! ITS BALONEY!!!!

3:13 - 3:19 ... Sooooooooo, we're supposed to become successful less-geeky douchebags? No thanks. (Rewinds to the beginning to catch all of the hidden bits. :P )

  • I think I need one for Basil of Baker Street

  • i picked up the fact that the 65th aniversary means that theyd have to be created in in 1929...but im just a kid with too much time on my hands

  • You're in the right place.

  • This is great! This could describe a lot of Internet geeks today. What's the word? Trolls? Way ahead of its time in 1995.

  • I just looked "trolls" up. That's not what it means, my fault.

  • the internet was in it's infancy, and STILL people were complaining about this kind of stuff

  • haha!!! barney parody!

  • 3:15: HELLOOOOOOOOOO, ASIAN BEACH BABE!!! (I am so going to get a mallet for posting this. Especially using my real name. Bring it on.)

  • love the Jurassic park reference at 2:41

  • Probably mentioned before but that's the embodiment of wikipedia right there. WAY ahead of it's time

  • It's a shame they cancelled the shows. But if you look up the very latest animaniacs shows, the comedic and slapstick genres aren't as on going; they cancelled the shows before the world realised that animaniacs was about to nose dive from being a No. 1 show.

  • So you say they killed it before the series' original sin became a full-on shark jump?

  • Apparently, the writers got all that info from the Animaniacs alt.newsgroup.

  • Reminds me of a friend of mine...really....

  • how did you get the footage from the VHS tape?

  • I think a lot of folks have old VHS tapes with cartoons on them. The footage slowly makes its way to youtube.

Also, I don't think Warners Corporation attacking geeks was a good idea (it was snobby and elitist), but on the other hand, I strongly think the geeks should have become illustrators and made their own alternative cartoons instead of complaining. Some of ultimately did but not enough.

  • Oh I don't know, I'm a geek like this and I don't have a problem with it! in fact I think it's hilarious!

  • @libertyprog

Actually, this sketch was made as a response to some... *very* creepy obsessive fans of the show and voice actresses... as in Dot's voice actress was afraid to go near the area one certain fan was, out of fear that he may try to rape her.

  • this is me!

  • can u please upload a hard day's warner but in higher quality X3 thks

  • If only this video was in better quality!

  • Holy crap, the Animaniacs exploited trolls and flames before they even had a chance to emerge...

    THAT IS SKILL

  • Don't worry there were trolls in these days too. :P

  • @ZomgLittle

Trolls and flames have existed since the internet was created.

  • @ZomgLittle Oh there were trolls and flames back then on Usenet.

  • @ZomgLittle In 1994 there were plenty of people on dial-up BBSes and believe me the same things went on. Plus ca change.

  • >_> wooooooooow!!!

  • Yes, yes, the ending has been done. In King Yakko, they do the same "we just closed on your nose" thing.

...Yeah, I need this place. =D TAKE ME THERE!!! I wanna go!

  • Haha! This is what made Animaniacs so GREAT! Tiny Toons was more for children (imo) but Animaniacs had the AWESOME explosions children love and the more mature (yet clean) jokes for adults! IT WAS BRILLIANT!

  • yeah . . . why it's oVer ???

  • It was the greatest kids show ever, hands down. No idea why they canceled it.

  • @ferretyluv

Most children's cartoons are made to only last three years because their audience will outgrow them and new kids won't "get" the show or will be interested in newer stuff. The "three year rule" is well known in the animation industry.

However, this can be broken if the show is good enough or has unusually high ratings for a cartoon, like Captain Planet or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (80's). Animaniacs was on from '93 to '99 though, meaning it was Better Than Average.

  • what a bunch of loser trolls.XD

  • I need this foundation!

  • Dear Lord above, this is scarily accurate.

  • ...I feel offended somehow... lol But I'm gonna favorite this anyways... x3

  • these geeks are losers!

  • lol buster bunny at the beginning

  • Someone in my digital photo class can make a laugh somewhat sounds like Baloney's. It was so funny I laughed so hard! I still laugh about it today.

  • But... but... I don't WANT to get a life where I don't know everything about my favourite fandoms. *insert oh noes face here*

Nah, I admit, I love delving and researching things I like, but I do indeed have a life and things to do. It's just handy when dealing with stupid OVER-obsessive fans so you can throw facts back in their face and shut them up. :3

  • Yeah, you have more exciting things to do, like playing D&D and making your cosplay outfit ... hahahhaa... just kidding, ;)

  • looks like the place for me :)

  • I remember watching this as a kid but I didn't quite understand it. The episode made more sense when I found out there were people in their 30s and 40s who were more devoted to the show than the kids were.
