  • What ever happened to this kind of beauty, style and class? I'm just thankful that we've got these clips to cling to. There'll never be another Gale Storm.

  • you can buy a collection of these shows on Ebay....I bought the set. I had not actually seen the show since it aired on TV in the 50s/60s. It brought back great memories. My sister, brother and I used to watch it on a B&W Philco TV when we were kids. I suppose by todays standards this show would be considered dull but I just associate real good times with this show......just like You Bet Your Life with Groucho Marx....reminds me of my grandpa, he loved that show

  • I must play this at least once a week. This is a beautiful rendtion by a beautiful person. Gale, you live on in our hearts.

  • Beautiful woman can't remember which game show I recall her from...maybe "What's My Line"?....Craig Stevens was one of the first stars I can recall when I was 5 or 6, Peter Gunn was the show! Thanks for the post, enjoyed it!

  • I know this song by Bonnie Guitar. I had heard of the Bonnie Guitar version for many years but never heard it until a few years ago. I have to say that I prefer Bonnie's version.

  • Thank you for sharing this John

  • Wow, are there are any full episodes of OH SUSANNA out there?

  • Do you have a video of Gale Storm doing Treasure Island. It was also a beautiful, exotic number and I believe she did it on her "Oh, Susannah."

  • @thejonquil No, I don't have that one. The audio is on YT with a slide show.

  • @John1948Five I remember Gale Storm performing it on her old "Oh, Susannah" show and was so impressed. I think she was wearing a beautiful sarong in keeping with the song theme. I have found the track on one of my precious cd's she sent me just a year of two before her death. Her "Dark Moon" album includes Treasure Island and the bulk of her biggest hits. thejonquil

  • What a winner! Never thought I would see this again. I thought "Dark Moon" was one of the most romantic and Gale Storm the most beautiful girls in the world in my tender youth. And how very right I was.

  • @thejonquil I was a just kid when I would watch her on my little Margie but I knew I wanted one just like her when I grew up! She was the perfect girl next door!

  • @thejonquil You are SOOOO right.

  • Dear John, I was a member of The Gale Storm Appreciation Society..when that group still exsisted..Ms.Storm called one a year for a few years on my birthday and she was very sweet and kindly to me. We became friends..but..Our friendship ended last year..when she passed away.

  • Looking from the sidelines is Ms.Storm's"Ms.Pomeroy's"on screen boss"Captain Huxley"(played by character actor Roy Roberts). I was enough to know Ms.Storm during the last few years of her life and she always spoke with great affection for Ms.Pitts and Mr.Roberts.

  • How did you know here 143? Were you in the entertainment business too?

  • Dear OSS, That was Mr.Craig Stevens dancing with Ms.Storm"Ms.Pomeroy"..looking on from the deck chair, forlornly is Ms.Zasu Pitts as"Nugey".

  • Ah, another fan! I watched Gale's TV shows anytime I had the chance.

  • The guy looks like Craig Stevens who

had a Tv series called "Peter Gunn".

  • She died on June 29, 2009.

  • The man had a series where he was a gambler. "Mr Lucky".

I have this song on a 45. Gail Storm died sometime in the last two years.

  • omg..i love this song...daniel rae costello sing this song...i didnt know this was the original...wow

  • "Dark Moon" is a 1957 country song by Ned Miller. With its haunting rhythm and forlorn lyrics, it scored on both the country and popular charts in the year of its release. Singer Bonnie Guitar took it to the country charts; Gale Storm to the pop charts. Storm's version, with Ned Miller himself on guitar, hit #4 on Billboard, while Guitar's version made #6 on Billboard. Tony Brent's rendition of the song reached #20 in the UK in July of 1957.

  • wow..thats amazing
