  • Just Lovely. One of the finest versions I have heard - Comparable to Tennessee Ernie Ford's version in my reckoning.

    Regards,

    Dimple

  • @waverleywaters Thank you very much Dimple. I am very glad that you liked it. I wish that I had a voice like TEF. He was incredible.

  • When I clicked on this, I was expecting a different 'Stand By Me.'

This was a pleasant surprise! Never heard this song before.

Your performance is 'Top Shelf' as always!

    God bless, friend!

    Bill

  • @ginmillsinger Hey Bill. I think a lot of people expect a "different" Stand By Me when they click on this song. I may do the other one someday as well but I have always liked this Gospel Stand By Me. You should do this one sometime.

  • Sing it in church,im flying over just to see you live,I WISH,lol,im sure you will be fantastic, what denomination are you,If i may ask,L

  • @ajman85able Well come on over Lesley. I do at least one show a week here at the house. Plenty of seats, ha. I'll tell my wife that my British fan club is coming over. I attend a Baptist church here in Houston. Several years ago I was lucky enough to travel to London and while we were there we attended a Baptist church on Abby Road. It was great. They sang all the same songs that we sang at home. We enjoyed it very much.

  • You nailed that one too Terry. Cheers.

  • @EP3577 Thanks again John. I am glad you liked it.

  • @polo1991jose Thanks for stopping by Brother Jose. Glad you liked my songs. Did you see the one of me singing Silent Night on the stage at Church?

  • I like.

  • We didn't need or want for anything at the ranch We got our water from earth tanks filled from the rain fall. Flosesy and I got our fun by pulling Taffy on Friday night's. The church gave up the old piano so Flossey learnedd to play, When You Walk Thru a Storm, Hold Your Head Up High. We had no radio or TV. So, how she learned that song is still a mystery to me . . . Girl's HUH ? ? ?

  • I listened to this last week for the first time and i was so impressed I just had to search it out in my karaoke book. Terry , this is indeed beautiful and thank you for introducing me to it. My family love it too. Its inspiring. wishing you all the very best .Mike

  • Man Terry. I am 59 yrs old and you take back to when I was herding sheep up at the ranch in the early 1950's and into the late 1960's. You are like the wind that blew at night and the tatter of the rain on our tin roof. . Lonely but comforting. . .

  • @GothVampDelylen This may be the most colorful and vivid comment that I have ever recieved on any of my songs. Thank you so much for first stopping by and listening and second for taking the time to comment. I hope you will continue to stop by my channel. In what country are you located?

  • Terry. In response to your email. I lived on a VERY remote sheep ranch up behind Signal Peak near

El Paso TX. There was no modern facilities at the ranch. I wore a hand gun since I was 7 yrs old.

And I rode my pony 7 miles to a one room school hand gun included. Also the school was without electricity or running water or potty, we had "outhouse's. " But we had true love up there." We often sat outside and listened to the wind whisper thru the trees. I now live in SE Arizona... Thanks . . .

  • @GothVampDelylen That is facinating. The rural US has certainly changed since we were kids. I spent many summers at my Grandparents house in a small town in Tennessee. It always seemed like an adventure to us kids because untill 1965 the house had no bathroom, no running water at all. Heat was from the fireplaces and several wood burning stoves. We took baths on the back porch in wash tubs. In the winter I remember there being frost on the bedroom floor except around the wood stove. All was good

  • as I commented on your channel: you sing with so much feeling, listening is really a pleasure :)
