okay, I normally cook crawfish with a roux also, but last night I tried it Ateya's way. And chile let me tell you, it was soooooooo good. Im never going back to roux again. Unless its crab gumbo
So far I have made your banana nut muffins, peanut brittle, fried prawns and now the etouffee. I've never had etouffee before. I love it! Thanks for sharing.
Don't eat parsley stems...next time save them to make stock or for soups. trim the leaves off then chop them really fine (mince) put them in a kitchen towel and rinse it under cold water and then squeeze all the excess water out...let it air dry slighty and then add to your final plating at the end as a garnish don't let it simmer.
Well, you can eat parsley stems if you want to. Your way of preparing parsley is just another way to do it for all you people who'd like to try it either way

Hi well I am from Louisiana and Tony Chachere's is a sesoning mix from here and all it is : Salt, red pepper,garlic and silicon (to stop caking), and other spices that we dont know because if we did they would sell they're product . And for the crawfish tails if you cant find them you may have to order them?
tony chachere is a seasoning. its the best seasoning ever =] . idk where you would be able to find crawfish around there bc its not as popular as it is here in the south . look up tonys on the web, you may find something

If you don't like the mushrooms, you can use cream of celery.That way you don't have to cut much celery. But prefer cream of shrimp if you can find it. I use 1 can cream of shrimp 2 cans cream of celery. I also do a blonde roux.
Damnnnnn now I was all with it until the veggies came into play...I hate onions and peppers and celery ..It makes me gag I think they are gross..I also cant stand mushrooms so I cant make this recipe..Im a lil upset but it looked good! Yes, just reduce the amount salt or Tony Chacheres because Celery naturally has sodium.

If you don't like the mushrooms, you can use cream of celery.That way you don't have to cut much celery. But prefer cream of shrimp if you can find it. I use 1 can cream of shrimp 2 cans cream of celery. I also do a blonde roux.

Damnnnnn now I was all with it until the veggies came into play...I hate onions and peppers and celery ..It makes me gag I think they are gross..I also cant stand mushrooms so I cant make this recipe..Im a lil upset but it looked good! I just couldnt get past the onions & peppers & mushrooms ....I love your cooking videos though

Well I don't know about the cooking thing. Don't get me wrong I can get down in the kitchen. But I've never really had Crawfish so i'm scared to cook with it. But you did have us on the edge of our seats and mouth all watering. Great vid. Take care.

Get it Teya..I am alergic to shellfish (sad especially since I am from New Orleans) so I do chicken etoufee but I'm sure my ol'man would appreciate this dish. That Tony's Satch is a beast. I get some everytime I go home because they don't have it here in Virginia.

omg!! i'm from new orleans im so happy to see this video cause when i was in san antonio after katrina i cooked this dish for a pot luck at work and they were like what in the hell is this. they didn't know what crawfish was. i was so disappointed.i cant wait to try your recipe cause i make mine from scratch and it takes a little longer to make the roux. i was screaming what is she doing using cream of mushroon soup lol. its a little diffrent but i cant wait to try it cause its much quicker
