The idea that monkeys have innate good posture is far from sound. A true review of the literature shows that the ideal working posture contains a good mix of standing, sitting, and walking. In addition, when designing your workstation, consider leaning postures, standing mats, arm wrests, etc. A decent literature review came out in 2003 in "Occupational Health & Safety," entitled "Improved ergonomics for standing work," written by a Joy M. Ebben (Vol. 72, Iss. 4).

That is correct you need to do a mix of standing and sitting.

Standing all day also has serious health issues that are just as bad as sitting all day.

I switch between the two every few hours and if I can or leave and go for a walk every now and then .
