  • ענקים

    רוזנטל איתמר ראשלצ

  • @abcdefghi1246 - If you're saying in Hebrew that this is a good instrumental piece I completely agree!!'

  • SO FUNNY WHEN HE LAUGHS

  • niceeeee!!!!!

  • This is everything that music should be technically brilliant and FUN !!!

  • Yea, Hank is the best!

  • wir, die jugend in diesen jahren haben dieses musik geschaetzt

  • hank marvin released like 500 of those guitars he played, signed and evrything, limited edition, and i have on of them lol. and im a hip hop fan but i dig this shit right here.

    hank is a beast

  • The show was filmed in 1984, not in 1986..

  • Now, who wouldnt smile and be happy if knowing, that i have a brand new Fender Strat, and that every dance move i make is making all the ladies in the crowd just swoon over me ???

  • Fender is nice

  • he dont even look at th guitar as he's playin now thts class

  • hank marvin............the best guitarist ever

  • @mysterydiv hel yh him and waylon jennings

  • @mysterydiv He and i share the same birthday.

  • @mysterydiv he is up there but not the best

  • @mysterydiv i couldn't agree more

  • @mysterydiv he isnt the best guitarist ever , this kind of music is so dated , good in its day and still liked but c'mon listen to some of the guitarists around at the moment they make him look like a learner and lets face it a lot of people would like to punch his annoying face because of the silly lil dances etc , i do respect the guy coz his band and music have been around a long time but get real he's never been the best

  • @pukeyable : hey cmon......u have to accept the fact that today's musicians have much better instruments and technology to make 'em sound sweeter............this guy's music is still alive........his guitar solos are amongst the best.......i guess if he was born some decades later, he wud have been the king...........but even then he deserves some credit man...........and i dont know why u wud even care to be on this page if u didnt appreciate this "learner's" music..............

  • @mysterydiv i already said i respect him coz he's been around a long time and stood the test of time , however ive never seen him perform anything technically brilliant which is why i said he was never the best as for instruments the older the better so thats no argument , things to make em sound better ? listen to steve how perform the clap with nothing more than a guitar and see which you think is harder between the clap and fbi

  • @mysterydiv Hahahahahahaha

  • VOCÊS SÃO GAYS?

  • @mysterydiv no thats jimi hendrix

  • @MrCockSlut thats opinion

  • my husband thought that too

  • hank

    YOU RULE!

  • @MsPokeyman Even though he's past 40 in this video? :P

No, agreed, he is a great guy - I met him on the 50th Anniversary tour, he is probably the best company I have ever had in my whole life.

  • @MsPokeyman That's Hank Marvin and he's past marrying age these days!

  • Waouff !!! This is indeed some kind of a wilde version.

    Thanks and take care

  • ground level inspiration for many rockers including me. Cheers

  • this is BEGGING for a "shreds" remix

  • Those dancesteps are charming.

  • they had no idea how to move on a stage. they had no idea how to entertain the crowds' eyes. BUT they were the most talented musicians of their years and they made some epic tunes. shit loads of respect for them!

    Good LIVE version, also

  • the probably invented rock guitar instumental music!

  • pure talent

  • I Love Hank Marvin's Glasses ^^

  • You guys will have to excuse me because I have never heard of these guys ever...ever. What exactly is good about it? It's your basic surf guitar. I guess that's ok but nothing new or spectacular. My only criticism besides being sort of forgettable is that their little dance they do is kind of tacky.

  • They did it first. That's whats so cool about it....the shadows were the originators.

  • @SuckMyArius

Dry your eyes sweetheart and get a life ! !

  • To any youngsters who wish to enter the music profession , look and learn, the shads were fantastic, love them , love them , love them.

  • The Musical Diamonds of yester years whose music will NEVER die

  • timeless intertainment the best foot tapping stuff off our time cheers spiketheno1

  • kids at school used to laugh at me for listening to rock and roll. when i see this i know, they're all retards without any musical senca at all!!

    go shadows!!

  • i just love the shaddows and hank marvin

can make that guitar talk x

  • Why do great guitar players have to look goofy??? It's consistant! GREAT SONG!

  • FANTASTICO..

  • Hank for President!!!

  • @nickkellie You can't have him! - he's from Newcastle (England)

  • @kharnelian4 I believe he lives in Perth, Western Australia, now.

  • @fidomusic Gooseberry Hill/Roleystone

  • When asked the question, "NAME A SONG THAT CHANGED YOUR LIFE, AND WHY", Peter Frampton answered:

"It wouldn't be a song, but an instrumental - FBI by The Shadows. Until I heard FBI, I didn't know what I was going to do, but once I heard that, to the chagrin of my parents, I knew I was going to be a guitar player - none of this train driver stuff!"

    p. 23 GUITARIST Magazine Nov 2009

  • a song doesn't need lyrics to be a song.

  • speaking of guitars there is a little gem A Complete Custom Electric Guitar

  • going to see them tomorrow.

  • Actually, the Shads bought the first Fender, after hearing James Burton. Only thing was, he played, and always has, a Telecaster, not a Strat? But, who really cares. The Shads always have been, and always will be, THE greatest instrumental group ever

  • @jimrockone the shads , too much effort to type ows hah

  • I prefer Joe Satriani but I've been listening to Shadows since I was a kid and still love their stuff.

  • @jimrockone You know, there are actually a few songs in which they sing!

  • I know, and they sing quite well. Apart from their first ever vocal, " You know I want you to want me" and they must have been embarassed by that ( I was)

  • Well, they did not create the moonwalk, but amazing ... Excellent, and thanks for posting !

  • hard to believe that this songs almost 50 years old

  • Wow, they do this just like they did it the first time in 1961.

  • if you like the shadows you will like los pekenikes, from spain, one of our 5 or 6 greatest bands ever

  • Can anyone confirm whether or not Hank Marvin at one time owned the first Stratocaster in the UK (or is this another Urban Legend?).

  • That's true

  • Cheers! No more sleepless nights worrying over this one, then.

  • Hi Cliff Richard imported the very first Strat from the US to the UK in1959 for Hank Marvin. Yes, Hank was the first to own one in the UK. By 1960 The Shadows were the first group with a full set of Strats.

  • Thanks for that little gem of info. I will bore my mates rigid now...

  • No indeed i bellieve it is quite true, apparently it was a qift. He later repainted it and gave it away. I better read up on it!

  • @wdettn yes, it's right

  • the one and only the shadows

  • My mate works on Hank's guitars when he is touring in Europe and I believe that he helped design the Strat that fender presented to him a few years ago for services to the indusrty. Check out some of the Marvin welch and Farrar stuff, they recorded two fine albums....

  • I never get tired of hearing this music.

Is it just me who thinks that Wally from the "Where's Wally" books was based on Hank?

  • note to 'gay general' just try listening to evertything at once. the drums/symbols lead/rhythm/bass. i defy you not to hear what i hear. plus no synths or double tracking. it's fantastic

  • they are awsome

  • you gotta love the dances :D

  • Saw them with Cliff last night at the B'ham Indoor Arena, they did a couple of stints on their own and got twice as much applause and cheering than Cliff at one point (Brian Bennett responsible - what a drummer!). Needless to say the entire show was absolutely stunning - all in their late 60's and so, so professional. They performed all the early stuff, no later non-Shadows songs and no 'cheesy' Cliff, he rocked the place down!

  • They sound just as good as ever here !! And Hank B. never seems to age !! One of the best band of beat / guitar musicians in rock history !! And boy .. don't they love what they do .. smiles everywhere. Fab posting !!

  • That is just epic :P

  • seen these guys at the o2 in dublin recently,,,best backing band in the world

now i know how cliff had all those hits

,,hank is the best fender player on the planet ,,,,,,,,,paolo

  • I must learn these moves while playing their songs!!!

  • Yes you must, this is like 11/10 on the scale of awesome.

  • fabulosos mesmo

  • Hank Marvin taught himself guitar. And look how he turned out. A legend with those guys.

  • They're fabulous!

  • Cheesy dance.... but what the hell, they were great

  • They called themelves The Shadows because they shadowed one another. They also were the ones who first came up with guitar tricks like, playing behind their heads, up high, far to the side; things that people like Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page learned from and expanded.

  • Do they perform still in those days with there lead singer Cliff Richard ??

  • Cliff Richard, Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Brian Bennet (Cliff and the Shadows) are performing live on their Final Reunion Tour of the UK, OZ ,NZ etc for 2009 /2010.

Hank still looks the same as he always did, Never fuckin ages the old scroat:-). Bruce is a bit grey but looks great. Dunno what Harry looks like as I aint seen him lately. Brian is standing in for Jed Harris who cant make it. Tony Meehan is also not available so a stand in drummer is likely!!!!

  • just started their reunion world tour

  • Great stuff! The Shadows always had a great sound, thanks in no small part to Hank's fabulous picking.

  • Nice version also by ,

    THE SHADOWMEN FBI

  • This Music is all Music of the World. Wundervoll. Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland.

  • Used to be Hank, Bruce, Jet & Tony. Now it's just Hank & Bruce.

  • I remember this song from my childhood , my father played this song all the time... it was good time... SHADOWS RULEZ

    :D

  • The Shadows are perhaps the best of the crop of guitar-driven bands in the 60s and 70s. Their music ushered in the Great British Invasion of our time and remains as classical gems of their era.

  • it was and it is very good :))

  • even today hank marvin an the shadows even though they have done there final tour still inspire people today to play guitar

  • He always smile. Hank marivn

  • @tage92 Yeah, I've started to think if he's never upset or even sad.

  • Richie Blackmore!

  • Hank was also a big inspiration for Rchie Blackmore.

  • i just luv listening to the oldies, cant beat em

  • The shadows and Hank B Marvin were the inspiration for many British kids to pick up a guitar including George Harrison and Eric Clapton, Hank can make a guitar talk

  • those glasses kick ass!

  • after all, most musicians are geeks...I mean that in an endearing way.....

    great job.

  • this group started in 1958.

they have been kickig arse for decades playing there incredible instrumentals simply the greatest . . no one like them not even close.

  • The Shadowmen FBI Worth watching. Good sound.

  • no point in replying ive coats older than him................

  • O_O HE IS KLARK KENT FOR FUCKS SAKE OMG
