I don't know about American Pilots procedures but, If I'll have these situation I want to feather the prop BEFORE looking if I can restart the engine, for me is more important release innecesary drag. After this you have "all the time of the world(sure not)" for watch what was the problem, etc.
Only a opinion eh? If your teacher say it so, do it so xDDD
wow Im impressed!!! this helps multi engine students a lot!! Im about to make my first multi engine flight... and this certainly helps!! Thanks a lot!!
Very great video and great instructing! I'm getting ready to start my multi training and this vid was a great way to see what I have to look forward to.
I think the VOX deletes aren't a good idea as alot of prospective students really need to hear the procedures. They certainly won't remember this vid once in FS.
Question for you guys. I know your situated at Steinbach. Im currently taking aviation in our school and im 1 semester away from my Aviation Certificate. Currently in Senior 3 and I was wondering who exactly I would call for a Discovery Flight Preferably out of St. Andrews Airport because im in Winnipeg.
depends on the aircraft you have. Lots of light twins can barely climb or maintain altitude above 4000 density altitude. So it's a judgment call based on a/c performance, IFR vs. VFR, and how far your destination airport is, etc. Pan would be alright for higher performance a/c.

Why did you guys try to restart the engine with the mixture cut-off? Is that way written in the Beech check list?
jojopop8 3 years ago
Mixture was rich. Prop levers were down.

@jojopop8 it's standard procedure for unfeathering a prop on a fuel injected engine :)

An engine failure is a emergency in a twin engine airplane. One would want all the help possible to be made available.
