I love The Stones, tough to beat their string of Beggars, Sticky, Let it Bleed, and Exile (and Ya Ya's), Then you have Beatles Rubber Soul -Revolver argument if not Pepper-Abbey Rd. Or the first 4 from Zep? The bottom line is that THEIR DOESN"T HAVE TO BE A WINNER! Everyone always feels like they must compare bands or records and then somehow rate them in an order. Why not love them all and forget the arguments? I'll take Live at Leeds, Who's Next and Quad over ANYTHING EVER,but that's just me!

@cshargeit Pete has selective memory, he has made asinine comments about Moon's drum fills all being the same, he says Moon and Oliver Reed were shagging each other. I think he is full of crap....everyone knows that Roger was the leader with a transition to Pete later on. Pete is talented but his memory is crap.

Made by legendary swedish Tv-producer Urban Lasson (also the producer of semi-legendary band Nameloosers from Malmoe in Sweden) and produced for Swedish TV in 1972; yes!!!

This is fascinating and historic footage. I'm guessing it comes from Swedish TV? (well drr!) incidentally, The Who are my favourites, but the Stones were also great!

I saw both bands in the 70's, live the Who had the edge. Pete was the greatest thing I ever saw on a stage!

hey pinballepete I'm gonna get screamed at here to be sure but I don't like the Stones either save for Charlie they're overated. greatest blues rock bands EVER were all of Steve Marriott's bands and the Who!!! hands down case closed the greatest rock/pop band is the Kinks. There you have it in my minds eye.
