@Bryc3ee I am using a A/DA MP-2 Tube preamp with a peavey classic 60/60 tube power amp into mesa recto speaker cabs. BTW, thats a marshall jcm800 4104 2x12 tube combo amp...not solid state
I have to ask something.Since you've played both RR1 and King V which one do you think is better? Are they too different to compare?I'm asking cause I'm about to buy one of these two models and i want to have some opinions.By the way amazing playing.

@MaidenBeMyGuide the guitars in specs are identical except for the neck pickup and the shorter wing. The RR1 has a SD Jazz and the KV2 has a SD TB4. The only real advantage of the RR1 is no tremolo. Easier to tune and it stays in tune. Either one is a great choice for full on shredding.
@MaidenBeMyGuide if your willing to spend the money on a high end V, you should also look into dave mustaine's V and some of the ESP V's. all of witch are VERY high quality and are equal to jacksons usa guitars
@CemetaryGatesML Yeah i know about Dean and Esp.Since i am a Megadeth fan i know about Mustaine's model and i have checked the ESP V guitars the thing is that I don't want to have a signature guitar call me weird or whatever i do have many guitar players i look up to but i don't like to play on a guitar which was made for somebody else. And as for the ESP i think they lack sth as far as appearance goes. They are great but pretty standard V.Jackson has both the looks and great playability .
@MaidenBeMyGuide ya i dont blame you, i dont realy want a signature guitar either, but with some exeptions, i wouldent mind dave's orange V, or the silver one with the cool inlays, but the ones with the insane graphics are a bit overkill. but yea jacksons are pritty sweet, only reason i said the ESP is because their much cheaper than a jackson USA but have veryyyyyyy good quality
@MrRandyRhoads1996 thats a JCM 800 4104 50 watt combo that had EL-34's and Celestion Ipswitch speakers. The sound is coming from an A/DA MP-2 preamp, Peavey 60/60 power amp and Mesa Boogie Recto cab... the chorus is built into the A/DA.. i used a delay pedal to fatten it up a hair
@Andybucker - very basic rig: A/DA MP-2 preamp, Peavey 60/60 power amp and Mesa Boogie Recto cab... the chorus is built into the A/DA.. i used a delay pedal to fatten it up a hair
man i want that guitar so bad but in black and they are so expensive grrr out of interset how would you rate the Jackson RR1T?? just so i dont save up and then be disappointed
At school someone is selling a 1980's Jackson Rhoads
they only want $20 for it.
It has grover tuners a vintage trem and two SD pickups, other than that it is totaly missing no electronics no pickguard bad nut. still should i buy it?
For the suicide solution lick, I suggest playing the A5(the A Power Chord) using the e string for the route note, so you can slide and catch the Randy Vibe. Great 'I Don't Know' By the way.
I would like to buy that guitar from Jackson Japanese branch. What's the difference? That one has 24 frets, and it also comes with a Floyd, as well as the traditional Seymour Duncan JB and '59.
But what I wonder is, "Do you guys have trouble accessing your 22nd fret?"
Hey man nice playing... Whats that very first lick you play from? Im just curious because I noticed Dimebag playing that lick in the vid from 1984... And heres a shoutout from another very happy RR1 player...
Thats from randy's live solo. You can hear it on the album "tribute" on the song "suicide solution", or most of the videos of his live solos on youtube.
damn good, i am still learning to play, but i will get that good one day:) I have more guitars than knowledge on how to play them, lol. Figured if I spent enough money on gear I wouldnt give up on learning, lol. Great gear you have also, keep rockin!!!
I got my jackson stars rr-j2 today and it sounds great! But, i think my neck is warped from shipping from japan and the low E string touches the first fret and buzzes when i play it open... help!
try raising that side of the bridge. If that doesn't help, you probably need to tighten the truss rod to straighten out the neck. If you have never done that adjustment, pay the $50 for a setup, it will be worth it.
in this crappy economy, I would settle for $1400 plus shipping, which should be no more than $60 with full insurance(assuming your in the USA). worldwide shipping is $125
