I actually got to FLY a P-51 Mustang! Part 2 - Low Approach and Landing

Having flown 172s from this same airport , it makes it even more impressive the awesome performance of that aircraft even in the pattern. The '51 always was my favorite aircraft.

@decnet1 : Yes, I actually DID get to fly this '51. It is a fully dual-controlled aircraft. However, Stu Eberhardt (the pilot) was certainly not going to let me do a low approach and landing on my own! However, I got to crank this aircraft around the skies on my own when we were at altitude for about 40 minutes, simply awesome!

idk but when i went to a airshow it cost like 1mil to buy 1 modified p-51 probaly hgiher idk how much to fly in 1

@mcnastyrangerz Based on recent sales of a few of the very few dual-control P-51s around, this aircraft was probably purchased for about $2.8 million. Realistic operating cost is more than $2,000 per hour.
